No, they haven’t been punished enough. Feeling bad about breaking law doesn’t mean you get to break the law in a way that leads to death without penalty.

I was going to say: maybe they’ve been punished enough, until I came to the part where the husband opened his mouth.
Though we have expected the news for some time, President Barack Obama just made it official: The Stonewall Inn, a…
There’s research that backs that up, actually.
You know, maybe if we started calling people ‘probably a rapist’, the amount of social cover creeps currently enjoy would begin to degrade. And maybe creeps would behave better.
But it does benefit us every time we make a connection between past creepiness and subsequent rapeage. The more we see that connection (and it’s not always there but damn if it doesn’t sometimes coincide) the more we will give people more credit when they call someone creepy.
Just a really, really pathetic pick-up line.
I have a friend in Law enforcement it is his belief is there are sexual predators who frequent college parties just looking for passed out and nearly passed out girls to rape. These people are not being opportunistic, taking advantage of a woman’s inability to say no but rather going to these parties with the express…
The point is to make the other person uncomfortable, off balance, and uncertain of how to respond. After you fail to respond, it generally escalates.
the people (women) who see the signs before it gets to this point are usually dismissed because he’s “awkward” or “socially inept” and are encouraged to “give him another chance”
My question is why aren’t any of his male teammates talking about how creepy he was towards women, or why didn’t any of them do anything about him, or talk with coaches. We guys can also step in and do something when we see another guy who is likely to be a danger to our friends.
It’s a power and dominance thing, I bet. He’s objectifying women and diminishing their humanity. Such a remark serves to humiliate them and make them feel self-conscious. He probably doesn’t really see women as people but as objects for his enjoyment.
Well, what is it you think they should have done? Being creepy is not a crime and there are creepy dudes everywhere. You warn other women and keep it moving. No one could have followed him around at all times to keep him from raping this woman. No one could have predicted exactly what he was gonna do and when. Only…
Notice how the Stanford statement explicitly denies a complaint was ever made, but not that the team was pressured to not make statements?
Brock would make comments to the women such as ‘I can see your tits in that swimsuit,’
and didn’t he used to be a really well respected moderate? like WTF IS GOING ON?!?!?!
God, Sarah Palin. I will never forgive him for unleashing that nightmare on us.
And he buckled to Tea Party bullshit, chose Sarah Palin for his VP. The madness of this election and his party’s open bigotry is largely on his shoulders.
Right!? Not only has this guy taken money from the NRA to keep their vile policies ahead of the safety and wishes of the people, but he has been in office way longer than President Obama had. He is, by far, the more guilty of the two.
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck ooooooooooooooooff.
