My jade plant is for sure not the same thing as a nearly half a millennium old bonsai but I feel for these people. Turns out taking care of plants can be a really cool and profound education. Once you figure out plants, much more of how the world works will begin to make some sense.

While hearty, bonsai trees are delicate, need lots of sunlight, and careful watering in the correct conditions. Having grown and killed a few, I hope those precious tree babies are taken care of.

There is much more risk (anesthesia for both tigers) and less than stellar results overall with this method. While this is tragic, the same things happen in the wild. I am sure this team did everything they could to mitigate things, but they are in fact wild animals and sometimes it just doesn’t work out.
