NO, I thought the exact same thing and I generally love this type of film.

I would say Blackstar by David Bowie fits the bill, he wrote it knowing he was passing away from Cancer. But its a truly beautiful and introspective album; he didn’t write it in sadness, more in celebration of the amazing life he was blessed to live.
