Realizing this really transformed my sadness into amazement. He was a genius.

Now that the shock of hearing this news first thing this morning has worn off, I'm realizing what an artistic, brilliant, beautiful and oh-so-Bowie performance his death was. Keeping his illness quiet from the media and his fans, Bowie released a new jazz infused album on his 69th birthday on Friday to great media

I noticed Carolyn's tattooed eyeliner a few episodes back. I imagine that if Sierra has some kind of scar that makes a portion of her eyebrows grown in funky, or not at all, she'd want to do something about it, but I find it hard to believe that dark tattooing along her entire brow line is more attractive than

Last night was the first time I could tell what it was going on with her eyebrows. Yet further evidence of how little camera time she has gotten.

I can't stand Jim Rice. When I listened to him on RHAP this season I cringed at the thought of him coming back. He's obnoxious, arrogant and all of his "analysis" of this season was wrong.

According to Eliza they have explicitly said the choice will be from a combination of viewer votes and CBS votes. https://twitter.com/eorlins…

I don't disagree. My take on Dan through the season is that he has been incredibly mysoginistic all around. He clearly has no respect for the women on the island, but Will seemed fine with every other woman except Shirin. Still, for Dan I saw something additional going on with his attitude toward Shirin. My read is

Ug! I had managed to be blissfully ignorant of that particular bit of lovely-ness. Thanks a lot mratfink!

Exactly. Dan saying a few episodes back that he didn't know how to pronounce her name, and then derisively saying various other related pronunciations showed his inherent bias against her as "other".

And where the hell are those sandwiches?

And what kind of asshole would be suspicious of someone's motives in Survivor?

Very interesting comparison! As of episode eight Sophie didn't think Tyler was playing a a very good game. I wonder if her thoughts have shifted.

Up voted in overall strong agreement even though:

The spoiler we have that tells us no way Carilyn could be the winner is Jeff's love for the season and his declaration that it has a winner we will like. Carolyn is not Jeff's kind of winner, Mike is.

According to Rob C., when they did this challenge in Philippines they had a male and female winner, the other two times had one winner. (Terry Deitz and Monica each won it for the single winner competitions.)

That's why I'm thinking Mike has to be the winner. I feel like the Probst hype is functioning as a de facto spoiler for me. I hope I'm wrong, not because I think Mike shouldn't win, just because I would love for Probst not to be the guy that I believe he is.

It really reminded me of Sandra explaining why the villains were the "worst tribe ever" on HvV. "I can't stand Jerri, I hate Coach, I hate Danielle, I hate Russell even more."

Rodney wanting to spank Lindsey "like a bad baby."

But would Probst be hyping this season the way he has with Shirin as the winner? I know he loved the Cochran underdog win, but she is not the profile of the winners that he usually gets behind.

And a huge strategic threat.
