This is a set of Recaro Sportster CS’s.
Thanks! That’s a great answer that I never even thought about. They do it all the time on car restoration tv shows but I never thought about it for my own car. And this way I can personalize my seat without possibly making the passenger seat uncomfortable for other people.
Not to mention that these guys probably “earned” their money on the slave labor of their fellow countrymen and women.
Since this has been cross-posted to Jalopnik, how about some suggestions for replacing one or both of the front seats in a car? I like my current car, but I’m a skinny guy so I’d like some more side support but I don’t know how easy that would be to do (my seat has no electronics attached, unless there’s an airbag…
Listen or feel, or just know what gear you’re in. Although “knowing what gear you’re in” doesn’t work anymore once you shift into 5th (or whatever your highest gear is).
identify an obstacle on the right side and come to a complete stop without making contact.
Ain’t nothin’ but a party.
Car salesmen are bad, but real estate agents are the worst. They are useless in every way and should be replaced by some kind of public agency. It’s beyond ridiculous that you may have to call three or four different real estate companies to inquire about homes on the same block or condos in the same building. It…
Oh, yeah. I forgot about that beauty. Any chance you can have that Moab-ready by next year? I’d be interested in following the progress of that project, and the just-under 12 month timeframe would keep it entertaining.
It’s not the headlight, but I’d pay $30 for someone to replace my side marker light. That’s also how I know that I go to an honest car place—they told me that I needed a new side marker light but didn’t replace it. They typically just replace any bulbs that need it, but that time they didn’t, which I thought was odd.…
I’ve only been reading Jalopnik for a couple of years now, but this has been the most entertaining thing that I’ve read here so far. But now that it’s over will there be a letdown? What’s David Tracy’s next project?
Yeah, Mazda was a bad choice. I actually love just about everything in Mazda’s lineup right now...although I hate the 3 as a sedan, and only think it looks good as a hatchback or wagon or whatever it is.
Well, there are simple designs and then there’s the shape that every single small SUV and crossover take. This VW could be a Kia, a BMW, a Mazda, or any other small SUV or crossover.
It was a poor attempt at making a joke.
The OJ miniseries is actually really good. I hated the trial and completely tuned it out when it was going on and I only started watching the miniseries because I wanted to see how stupid it was, but I was hooked and ended up watching three episodes in a row.
how about smaller, less powerful electric motors connected to those same big batteries. Less power, more range
somehow it’s excusable for them.
I agree. My current car is a 5 speed manual, and I’d love to have a 6th gear to shift into on the highway. Reverse gear is up and to the left, so you’d think that they would have put a 6th gear at the bottom right since it was empty, but no (or as John Belushi used to say, “But nooooooooo.”).
Really? That makes it even more bad ass. It was backed into a parking spot and I stared at the front of it for a while to figure out what it was and I couldn’t see the rear doors (not that I was looking closely at that area). I used to make fun of the Juke, but the Juke Nismo changed my mind.
