Oh, for goodness’ sake. So his “u” was faster than his “g” for once.

Oh, don’t mistake me here; as far as I’m concerned a librarian, truck driver, office manager of a book store, and a myriad of other positions that have no (or truly miniscule) risk of exposure to bodily fluids has no reason to be current on how to deal with same fluids. However, if it’s part of the education programs

Oh, joy. The type of person who gets into it because the jobs are stable and the money good. Good on your wife for firing the useless fuck.

I’ve had plenty of questions about HIV transmission over the years. I’m negative: I’ve lost one partner in 1993, and stayed for 14 years with another wonderful gent. After finding that my partner died of HIV related illnesses, folk (back then) would often back away before working up the courage to ask questions. I’d

Tell that to the feds. You know, the ones who included HIV protections in the ADA.

You are incredibly ignorant, and the hyperbole is childish.

They make sense how? Anyone - ANY PERSON - cutting themselves in food preparation, in a restaurant or home kitchen, should be cleaning themselves up, then cleaning and disinfecting the area where the accident occurred.

Sincere question: how is it that you made it to adulthood without that awareness? It’s covered here in Grade and High Schools, including transmission methods...

In Canada it’s currently a five-year celibacy ruling for MSM. I’ve played with latex my entire life and can’t donate blood because of the handy I got last week (I was in a rush.) My younger brother, who’s never bagged it in his life and isn’t monogamous, can donate regularly.

Better to inform the ignorant, and lessen the long-term negatives. Kind of goes to building a better world for all, you know?

Eh, recognizing the sarcasm and responding to the serious part of the comment is appropriate.

Sure it is, and the law requires the employee to file a claim against such injustice - something many HIV+ folk don’t do, as it takes too much energy away from life. This EEOC claim is unusual, and I hope it succeeds, so more will have the courage of knowing justice is possible.

Nothing wrong with the question? From an adult in the restaurant industry? HIV has been around for more than a generation. There’s no excuse for ignorance of the most basic information.

Tell your mom she’s aces. It’s folk like her that helped with my partner in 1993 and I wouldn’t have survived it without your mom.

After 30 years, any concerns coming from ignorance are nearly as repugnant as those from bigotry. There’s little excuse for that level of stupid given the information available.

Wow. Surrendered your humanity card years ago, didn’t you?

pre-chewed food. go read it again.

Nothing personal? You are a horrible creature.

In a properly run kitchen, any accident is taken care of by cleansing the areas affected and tossing any food.

Resentment? Sure. Action to vandalise and intimidate? Crosses that line between “we’re advocating for the poor to bring awareness and change” and “we’re nothing but thugs.”
