if you were a stockholder you would have been pissed if they didn’t cut the huge expensive gamble of making AAA videogames for the super low investment with super high returns VLT/pachinko machine industry. Pleasing the stakeholders over the consumers is exactly why they did what they did.

AM2R is fantastic. I’m glad it exists at all. To the guy who created it: 10 years of your life were not “...a waste...” (general quote to sum up some of the nasty stuff I’ve been seeing on various sites) and MANY of us enjoyed your remake.

Bad Nintendo. But also kinda of weak move from the Game Awards, I mean, if the added the “nominee for best fan creation”, was it really that hard to see that this might be a conflict of interests? Something being long, isn’t what it means to “respect your time”. Otherwise, MMO’s would be at the top, and they certainly don’t respect your time.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Of all the genres out there JRPGs tend to respect your time the most. Youget a lot of value for your money, for one, and it’s in JRPGs where storytelling in gaming really flourishes. Games like Persona and Trails in the Sky/Cold Steel are incredible for their stories

More GTA/open-world games need to be set as period pieces. Mafia II and LA Noire were excellent in that regard. Let’s get some 1970s NYC in here next!

Why remaster, why not have just another GTA set in the 80's? With a kickass soundtrack blackjack and hooker... actually don’t even need the GTA.
