That whole album absolutely rocks.
I think Omen is probably good for 15-20 seconds on the Nürburgring...

For sure. My best Racer X driving story is that I was driving back home from Buffalo around Christmas, Racer X blasting in my Suburban. Came up on a car doing like 40 in a 55. They were obviously drunk and coming back from a Christmas party because I could see Santa hats.
I will absolutely check out a band called Thunderpussy
Someone mentioned a lack of female vocalists, so here’s a few:
Easy Livin’ is a great song. Uriah Heep, totally underrated.
Hell yeah. Jet Pilot rips.
I have a playlist a mile long for this exact purpose. See, there are different kinds of driving playlists. Sometimes you’re Cruising and you want more laid back vibes. But sometimes, you’re hammer-down on the backroads at 2am pumped full of Red Bull. For the latter, well:
Not directly. But if you look at steering wheel design across a wide range of manufacturers you begin to notice a trend in the shape of the wheel center. The airbag is a safety requirement, and I’m assuming most manufacturers work around that common part if they’re all getting their airbags from the same few…
I think it’s just a lack of creativity. All these companies get their airbags from the same two or three manufacturers and they’re probably just using a pretty generic 3 spoke base to build on. They could do something other than the 3 spoke, but I think it’s just laziness and cost cutting.
I’m sorry, I thought we didn’t like cars that weren’t designed for pedestrian safety?
My biggest complaint about modern automotive design, besides floating roof C-pillar treatments, is that steering wheels don’t get enough love. They’re all so boring.
Genesis has heard my complaint apparently. I love that 2 spoke wheel. Open at the bottom so I can rest my hand comfortably while cruising. Stylishly…
When inductive charging is democratized. When I can park my car on the street in the city, tap the app on my phone to sync my car to the charger, and walk away, that will be the day.
From the comment section straight into our hearts and minds. Glad to see you on board at Jalopnik!
I mean, as a short term thing, that could be totally worth doing if you own a car you care about. Rent a Volvo for 4 months every December and garage the car you own to protect it from the snow and salt? Why not?
Here’s my question: what’s the contract situation like for this subscription service? Can I subscribe month to month? Like...could I just rent a Volvo for a few months and then cancel my subscription?
Dieselgate.
I was a huge Audi R15-R18 TDI fan because of Team Joest and LeMans. In July 2015 I pulled the trigger and leased a TDI Golf and got rid of my old, but trusty, LeSabre. I was so excited. I had this environmentally friendly, economical, sporty little derivative of those LMP cars and it was great. Nerd shit.

Take out the urinals, make the bathrooms unisex, and then name the pub The Universal Joint.
I don’t think I’ve ever actually seen one of these in the real world. I’m assuming most prospective buyers just opted for the Town Car instead.
Would that I had the money for a COVID project. 2020 has been a rough year. And now winter is coming.
I’m putting some money away though. Maybe if things are looking bad for taking a vacation in the spring, and I decide to keep renting the house I’m in, I’ll opt for a project instead.
Probably something on the smaller…
