Politics is a fickle game, so I took my time getting on the AOC bandwagon after she first splashed onto the scene. Sometimes people show up and look like they’re the best thing since sliced bread and then they fade away. But AOC seems to be acquitting herself well in the job itself, and she seems to be building, or at

I think it’s fine? I expect there will be obligatory hate for it, but honestly, let’s do the EV truck thing.

Also, this was apparently “a thing”

Ooohhhhh now I get it.

Premeditated Terrorism Cruiser.

Perfect

I would honestly put money on this being something used up north where winter thaw flooding happens. MacGyver here clearly had a plan for this, and as you mention in the article, the trees look winter-bare.

D’onque

Couldn’t believe the video when my buddy posted it on Twitter that night. He was on the next rink over with this kid for a game. I’ve played a lot of (bad) hockey at the Bill Gray’s Burgerplex over the years.

Also, to be pedantic, this is not a Zamboni, it’s an Olympia. Only an Olympia resurfacer would fail like this.

I want this video just sort of playing in the background of my house at all times.

Imagine if Chrysler hadn’t killed off Plymouth? They could have sold yet another version of the LX platform in the Fury.

Cars like this are fun for tooling around areas where the speed never tops 45. Take it to get ice cream in the village, honk the oooga horn for the kids, you’ll have a good time.

Plus, unlike later land-yachts, these cars are narrow so your partner in the front seat won’t ever be too far away.

I think it's an extremely cut up Honda of some kind. But that's probably as close as we're going to get. It's a mess.

The more I look at this monstrosity, the weirder it gets. The back end doesn’t even look like it belongs. I think the C pillar is fake? That rear quarter window doesn’t look like glass, it looks like painted plastic.

It’s like someone took two (maybe three?) different cars and tried to make it look like an Eldorado.

Now playing

Neutral: Treading water in life. Getting into “winter mode” mentally. Also getting into winter mode mechanically. Trying out some new car products this weekend to see how they hold up, specifically the Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic spray wax/sealer which did really well in Scott H’s tests (if you haven’t watched the videos

Yup. There’s really nothing wrong with crossovers. They’re boring. But most normal cars are boring. And I think VWs are some of the nicest (or at least most inoffensive) in the crossover game. If I had to buy a crossover it would be a Mazda or VW, probably leaning towards VW.

I’m driving a large American sedan right

Yeah, I hope they don’t get sucked into a race to the bottom with Craftsman. Most of my Craftsman stuff that I’ve bought over the years has held up, but I tended to pick and choose what I bought from them. It’s total garbage now, so hopefully Kobalt maintains its integrity. When you pick up a tool from two different

I’ve bought some one-off Kobalt sockets over the years and I find the quality of them to be pretty good, so much that I tend to look at Kobalt stuff first when I need a new tool of some kind. Plus they sometimes offer a slightly different length that is perfect for what I’m doing.

Reverse: John Denver was an interesting dude. I read his autobiography last month and, though it is a little dated (it’s like a time capsule), it gives you a pretty good look into the life of a pretty prolific singer-songwriter. Highly recommend picking up a copy on the cheap somewhere.

And maybe give some of his

Imagine having so much money that you can do all this and still afford to buy a house and raise three kids? These people must be loaded AND stupid.

How dumb do I need to be to make that kinda scratch? I’m willing to work at it. I can get a helluva lot dumber than I am currently and I need the money.
