It’s good to see ChargePoint back in the game, but they have a lot of competition these days. I’ve been digging heavily into EV charging infrastructure as I try to pursue a career shift from Solar to the EV industry and I have to admit that ChargePoint isn’t exactly the sexiest name out there at the moment.

Not saying

Hmmmm you might be right. That dock could be drawn in.

So the amateur photographer in me is assuming this was shot during daylight and retouched to death to make it look like night?

Wouldn’t the daylight shot have been more...compelling?

It’s not that they wanted to shoot this photo with all the moss, it’s just that in the 70's this is what everything looked like because of smog blocking the sunlight.

10/10, would Gurgel

Oh my god this is amazing

I’ll give Brave a try!

We really need more Pikes Peak content in the world right now. This thing should really be a bigger sporting event in the US than it is, especially now that drone tech makes it easier than ever to enjoy the spectacle.

This thing should be on network TV.

Yup. Stupid fast internet here at work and the whole site is a mess to load. When I’m at home/on my phone it’s even worse.

And it depends on the browser and the day too. Sometimes it works fine on Chrome, sometimes it doesn’t work at all. Right now it’s great on Firefox, but mobile on Chrome, Opera AND Dolphin are all

You guys do know that Kinja barely works right when there’s only one photo, right?

Tuning is going to be interesting. It’s going to depend on what the manufacturer builds in as far as battery and motor capacity. The big limiting factor for batteries is something called the C rate, which is basically the rate at which you can charge or discharge a battery.

One of the big tuning things right now is to

I know other posters have already responded, but I want to say that I think this is what is cool about EVs: they can be whatever you want them to be with the swipe of a touchscreen (provided they mechanicals are there). Want to go crazy fast? Have at it. Want to go smooth and efficient? Here you go.

It’s going to be

General Motors claims the Hummer EV will be capable of 1,000 horsepower, 11,500 lb-ft of torque (though it has yet to clarify exactly how it measures this) and will get from zero to 60 mph in three seconds.”

This rules, though.

I think these cars have aged really well and I’m glad you’re putting the effort in to preserving a good example. So many of these ended up as high school/college beaters and were thrashed to death. You’ll be a star at some future Litwood show with this!

I dunno, CVTs are everywhere in vehicles that you don’t use for towing. But they have limitations. I like the idea of them, since I’m a fan of smoothness, but they don’t really get the job done either.

Interesting. I haven’t driven any 10 speeds, but I find my car’s 6 speed to be a little irritating in low speed driving, especially accelerating with a soft touch. I'd like to hear more feelings on 10 speeds since it seems like they might be even worse.

“I had a feeling 10 forward gears might be too many, but who am I to question Ford’s wisdom in putting 10-speed automatics in every 2020 Ranger? I will, though. This truck’s transmission is way too clunky and busy at town traffic speeds. To hell with it.”

They’re pretty reasonable cars if you just want something with a manual.

Oh god, yeah, probably. It was the early 2000s bro!
