I read a profile of him talking about the biography and he comes across really well. Basically he worked very hard to seem so laid-back. I don’t care enough about him to read his book, but I agree that it seems like one of the better celebrity memoirs.

I think she’ll probably need to find a man that she finds comparatively better, before she leaves Offset for good. If her chief justifications are “he’s my best friend” and “I’m horny” ... well, eventually she might figure out that best friends don’t cheat on you, and dick is a plentiful and renewable resource.

I have a cousin who has kids with a boyfriend who (she knows) is a serial cheater. Unfortunately, economics tie her to him in a way Cardi doesn’t have to worry about whenever she breaks it off with Offset, but she’s always posting things about how “all men” cheat and it’s just “the way guys are” nowadays.

I would never read a celebrity biography, but if I were to have to read a celebrity biography, it would probably be McConaughey’s.

I feel like there’s some missing the point in this blog.

How is it an anti-trans policy to ask for "sex as defined by law" when you can change your birth certificate to reflect your gender identity? All this means is self-ID men can't take a women's prize; it doesn't exclude trans women, and it doesn't require proof of AFAB.

I don’t know. If the standard is that the person was AFAB, then trans men should be allowed to submit too. But I think a prize explicitly labeled “Women’s Prize” saying they accept submissions from trans men would come across as transphobic, as if someone’s chromosomes mattered more for whether they count as a “woman”

Why is Emezi’s publisher submitting their work for a women’s prize when they don’t identify as a woman?

This fakery has been going on for decades. Do you think this was really the inside of the Spice Girls’ tour bus?????

Seriously, acknowledging this event is just sad.  It can only have a negative impact, unless the author makes it clear this type of bahvoir is embarrassing.  Sad to see what people like to talk about these days.

Holy shit, my thoughts exactly. Er...um....I mean.....pat on the back for you Eric.

Fucking seriously. I guess that’s where this “supposedly feminist website” has been dragged to: mommybloggers awarding their husbands for doing the bare minimum of parenting like it’s a Reddit query.

A single mom teacher in our school couldn’t manage and she was encouraged to resign.

I feel lucky that Eric’s stepped up and really wants to be involved with her school work.

Eric’s a woodworker, so he just leaves at noon and then he’s gone for the rest of the evening. I feel lucky that Eric’s stepped up and really wants to be involved with her school work. I would say we split overseeing the Zoom classes. I do most of the homework and organizational stuff with her, but having his help

I agree. The take here should be “all non-violent offenders should go to prisons like this,” not “fuck her she should go to pound-me-in-the-ass prison.”

agree- the conclusion of this article seemed at odds with the rest of it. Yes, they don’t just give her a cinder block to try and have fun with. No, that doesn’t make it a summer camp, a wellness retreat, or a spa.

The only takeaway here is that ALL prisons should have these programs and more.

Is this you getting the vapors because you don’t understand how medium security prison works or do you know that and are just disingenuously feeding a dumb and pointless cycle of outrage?
