I've been seeing a lot of PC hype for it since the beta. Add in the fact that the Source engine runs very well on even mediocre hardware, and you've got a recipe for success. Origin will be a sticking point for some though.

It's still essentially a robot with an onboard operator, right? Why not control it Pacific Rim style from the surface? That would be awesome

It instantly stresses me out when I hear this one.

No. Mitochondrial DNA only affects the mitochondria, which are small components of a cell called organelles (like an organ, but tiny). They have their own DNA because they are essentially like smaller cells within your cells that replicate independently when your cells do.

It's mitochondrial DNA. Who gives a damn? All it accounts for is horrible diseases and maternity testing. It's a purely functional transplant. It won't affect things like personality, hair/eye/skin color, etc. that people associate with genetic parentage. It's as much creating a designer human as giving somebody a

Nintendo has said that they're not bringing Mario to smart devices. And they're not too keen on free-to-play either. But Fischer—dollar signs dancing in his eyeballs—desperately wants Nintendo games on smartphones, tablets and wherever else they can make a buck:

If you guys do this for Xbox One, could you disclose gamer tags? It would be fun to use the "Follow" feature to see you guys playing pre-release titles!

No samurai in the next Assassin's Creed. Jade Raymond, producer at Ubisoft Montréal says so in this profile by Adweek, though the game will be set in "her favorite historical era." A feudal Japan setting for Assassin's Creed has long been a request of fans, even referred to in ACIV's meta-game.

It's just for bragging rights at this point. Until a decent amount of people actually own UHD displays, 4k video on a phone is just not practical. (Unless you're editing for a 1080p feature, that is)

People put these things in their living rooms where there actually is value in looking good, and these super-slim TVs are very striking.

Who would be in line for a PS4 that is planning on buying a Wii U? Why wouldn't they buy the Wii U now and plan to buy a PS4 when more games come out for it?

A redeemable code is the only way to bundle a game that isn't finished yet. If they packaged it with a physical disc, it would launch at least a few weeks after the game is finished/launched, thereby killing the advantage of pre-release hype.

They would be idiots to release the 360 version simultaneously. It would add competition to a product they really, really want to sell (the XB1 version, that is). It's not shady, it's common sense.

They can pack a code in the box months before the game is even close to finished. If they packed a disc, the game would have to be complete in time to press discs and pack them in the box.

Does this mean that as a Comcast subscriber, I can expect improved Netflix streaming quality? What's the bottom line here?

This can actually happen to somebody who pounds beers all day long

That's sort of the lifecycle for studios. Much of the staff at Irrational was likely hired to work on Bioshock: Infinite, and that job is now complete. Many studios swell when a large development cycle begins and perform massive lay-offs after the projects are finished. In this case, the lay-offs are just particularly

I think it's disingenuous to refer to Kinect 2 as a peripheral when the UI is pretty much designed around it

Yeah, books on TV sounds awful. Comics or graphic novels on the big screen could be nice though if operation is intuitive

His game is fun, but it lacks the brutal bite of frustration. Which is sad, because "Piou Piou" looks to have a little bit more effort behind it.
