Do I need new glasses or was that Camry shaped like a Lamborghini?

You’re typically paying for it one way or the other, is the thing. We might in some situations “show” $10k for your trade, but in all reality it’s ACV’d, or Actual Cash Valued for $8k. That $2k is, theoretically, buried in what you pay for the car.
Pro-Tip: I work for a highline european dealer in the midwest and my…
Absolutely agree. Been running a zionsville cooling setup w/an e46 electric fan controller in my 540i6 for quite some time now.
I can’t wait for Mahk to get ahold of this.
911 guy should just call the used car factory if he wants a perfect used car for his budget.
I work for BMW and wasted enough time to look up this vehicles history. Carfax shows yearly maintenance(not just BMW recommended either) Below is the BMW recall and what would be the maintenance program history, but, clearly it wasn’t driven near enough to qualify for BMW’s annual maintenance.
Electrically, they are freaking nightmares. Source; GF’s family has 3 of them.
Basket-cases. Each, and every one.
These didn’t even rev-match downshift outside of the CSL’s, which weren’t available in US. Granted, the CSL tune is widely available these days.
Plus when the hydraulics inevitably fail, it’s literally the same gearbox. Remove the hydraulics, get a proper shift and a “few” other bits and it can simply be converted. I…
Shit, I got my wagon so I’d have it when I got married. He’s doing it wrong.
Under-appreciated post here.
Tom,
If you’re still on the lookout for a black E92 M3, I have a client who’s trying to sell his 2 owner, clean title, accident free one. I sold it to him CPO a few years ago. Not sure what miles you’re looking for, but it’s a dealer maintained example. 62k mls, 2 sets of wheels/tires(all 8 tires new this year)…
In no way supporting this dealership, because what they are trying to pull is just bad business, but that car has the carbon roof, that’s only difference in gloss/color I’m seeing. What I’m hoping is this salesperson that you’re dealing with is just a moron/greeny and just assumed that wasn’t a thing, to have a…
I figured as much, I simply didn’t have the will to fight my caffeine fueled internet sarcasm monster this morning.
I too know the pain that is out of warranty hi-po euros lol.
Shame those were in a Paceman.

Careful, your poor is showing.
I should say this is an S62, or, should be. If it’s an S52, it’s definitely not worth it’s asking.
That said, a friend of mine bought a..at least on the surface, what looked/drove to be a very clean, well taken care of 118k mile 2002 M5 back in November ‘17.
Since then, it’s been on jackstands most of the time it’s been…
Gotta say, I have massive respect for the latest GT’s. A friend of mine has a supercharged one, track pack, ventilated seats, grabber blue, etc. I love that car, it’s stupid, and he’ll probably die in it...but objectively it’s an incredible machine.
I’ve got a 540 sedan and a 535 wagon. The wagon gets daily duty, and while it is capable of swallowing far more stuff(old school projection TV, anyone?) there’s no denying it has a stigma about it, and just can’t seem to shake it.
As a 25 y/o guy, I never get weird looks or questions in the sedan...but the wagon?
“What…
I can’t figure this out, unless he started with a door the wrong color and had it paint matched in carbon black....yet skipped the trim.
Carbon Black was/is only available on M and M Sport cars. Just seems odd that they’d go that far, and not deal with the trim.
Nope. The 35i had the N55 6 cylinder. The 40i has the B58 6 cylinder. The B58 really is a sweetheart of an engine, feels and sounds better than the outgoing one.
The instrument cluster and a couple of subtle changes(lighting, interior trim, etc) are the only in your face differences.
