Definitely don’t use these on paint. Idk how many BMW’s at work our lot tech destroys paint on each year with these devices. Ends up looking like someone took sandpaper to them.
“Blue Chrysler Two Thousand..”
Definitely E46. That’s so badass to see one getting some love in a movie. Initially thought it was an E39 5 Series wearing the straight-lace wheels. https://photos.app.goo.gl/40T15umroKGkNZgw2
That I can’t comment on. The M62/TU V8 is a fickle thing. I’ve never had one fail *knocks on wood* but if you had access to a rebuilt drivetrain, I don’t see any reason that wouldn’t be badass.
The M62tu, for it’s time was a fairly impressive engine, plus it makes a great noise and gets reasonable fuel economy if…
The owner of my dealership has one, 21k miles on it. It’s an absolute time machine.
I’ve got two.
The daily one, a 2001 540i6 M Sport..has 242k and climbing. No one ever believes the odometer.
Definitely this ‘91 850i
These had to have been the same people that wrote angry letters to Clarkson, Hammond, and May.
This can happen just with a car sitting for long periods of time, I see it at my dealership all the time.
Gonna guess a Tacoma lol
Full disclosure here: I still work for a dealership, I’ve always been a car guy, and...well..I do like money.
I’ve been at a BMW Center...it’ll be 4 years next month. This was my first sales position at a dealership. I had been at Toyota and Ford previously. The culture here is entirely different. We’re all a…
I was beginning to think I was the only one that watched that movie.
I work for a BMW dealer and I’ve seen exactly one of these on trade. I was impressed with how nice it was, for an old Buick.
Ended up selling it to a retired radio station exec, it was his 3rd one. Still never figured that out.
FAKE NEWS
Thats amazing, considering it only costs like 15% of what the Mercedes would take to service.
300k is great. Just goes to show, this likely *is* the future for automobiles.
Plot twist, it was 173 track miles.
I still want a PT Turbo H.O. 5 Speed manual. Build it a little. The perfect sleeper.
Fight me.
Like a rock, indeed.
BMW is also offering 1% for 72 months on retired courtesy vehicles. Blows my mind more don’t take advantage of that.
