Are you a fan of Kaiju movies though? Cause I kinda feel you aren't... A lot of it was intentional or throw aways to the genre (such as the monster of the week and the super weapon for a finishing attack-type notions). They come off as cliche or dumb but, IMO, that's what I wanted. It was like an episode of Power

Actually the Joker looks kind of great like that.

They got two legitimate good characters out of it (Steel and Superboy) and a decent B-list bad guy in the Cyborg Superman.

You could just sum it up in one phrase...
