The way I see it, the Surface is along the same line as Google's Nexus devices. They want to set the standard for phones that year, and it keeps the other OEMs from slacking off and not improving from the previous year. Good going Microsoft.

I was very excited when Crysis 2 came out, because I genuinely enjoyed Crysis [1] as a sandbox, destruction, and action playground. However, it had far less destructible structures, much more linear levels, and no nuke gun (or at least I couldn't figure out a way to get it). I really hope Crysis 3 lets you free-roam a

Damn it, if kids keep swallowing them, don't fucking give them to kids, because I am 23 and I want to play with them, and I have enough self control not to put things in my mouth that are not supposed to go in there. (I have a set, but I was planning on buying like 10 more to make a mega-set)

He's basically got springs for legs, and while I would not want to be the one to break it to him, or the rest of the world, that he could not compete, I do think it's somewhat unfair. His prosthetic legs are specifically built for running fast, and it seems that the engineers have given him a bit of an edge.

That's either the gayest military maneuver, or the manliest dance routine...

I really find it attractive when someone knows a lot about something. It can even be in a subject I don't care about or even particularly like, because what I like is that they are passionate about it; enough that they can rattle off facts and trivia for 30 minutes straight and still have more to tell me. I can see

Also because it showed the biggest modern example of natural selection for humans.

I still don't get why the lie of Harvey Dent was such a huge deal. It's perfectly understandable they he might become mentally unstable after his soon-to-be-fiance was blown up and the same almost happened to him. That's somewhat understandable, he was an honest and great man before that. I can see why they might want

So does this mean that laptop power cables will still have that enormous, unwieldy, scalding hot power supply brick in the middle of them? Or does this eliminate the need for them? Or will they just be built into future laptops?

I am right handed, but when I was first using computers in elementary school I used my left hand for the mouse. I don't know why, I was stupid back then. And because I was stupid, I managed to slice my left palm open with a knife. Because of the gauze and bandages, I couldn't use that hand for the mouse (my fingers

That is so unrealistic... that Nokia phone would never break apart like that, the ground would shatter first.

Oh, yep, you're right. That was Gamecube right? I guess they could get away with darker stuff for that, but I still feel like everything new for the Wii has been all rainbows and sunshine, and a zombie game feels out of place.

"Why is Sharlto Copley's character so insane?"

Honestly, I'm still in disbelief that a visceral zombie game is actually coming out for a Nintendo console...

"Hey John, I'm sorry to have to tell you this by text message, but I'm breaking up with you. It's not me, it's you. Specifically, you hitting me in the face every night. Since you're such a reasonable guy who's in control of his emotions, I know you'll understand, and I hope we can still be friends."

Oddly enough, I think Back to the Future and Flubber were some of my first exposures to awesome science as a young child. Then, later FIRST really got me into robotics and computer, and there was no going back from there.

Given what they do in their other episodes, they clearly do not give a shit about safety...

Woo! Aquaman and Aquawoman(is that her name?) are my friends from back home and they are awesome. I wish I were able to go back to the west coast for SDCC this year.

Honestly, for $20, why not?

Some fellow nerds I've talked with say that Thunderbolt will be huge, because it's so much faster than USB 3.0 and anything else. However, I don't think it will ever really be as popular as USB, or even Firewire was at the top of it's game.
