I got flashbacks of Todd from Everyday Driver reading this. He had a Ralliart. It died on him, and everything you mentioned about the tyranny was mentioned by him at some point too.

I think I’ve talked myself into trying to do my Z’s timing belt, but every time I research it, I get intimidated at the long list of stuff I’m supposed to buy (based on the “while you’re in there, you might as well...” forum advice.)
We had the same thing in Northern California when we were experiencing a major drought a few years back. State and local government officials told us we had to conserve water and use only what was necessary. Well, we did that but then got rewarded with an increase in our water rates because we were so good at…
You can’t make up lost revenue on the backs of your citizens. We have a similar situation with the local power companies submitting plans to the government to raise all rates because they didn’t make enough money when businesses closed. Sorry, but fuck you. I don’t get to charge extra to my customers because I didn’t…
I feel obligated by my handle to post. Great great little car. And the larger Probe V6 will slip right in, giving you more power and the ability to say that your car has an alien probe. (My son is still considering doing this.)
Plus it’s surprisingly roomy. Held an extra set of wheels, tools and a whole bunch of crap…
It’s Canada. They asked politely and said please, so the driver really had no other option.

I had a fee Saturday in Stuttgart quite a few yeas ago. (Before the new Porsche Museum opened.) Being a Porsche owner, the first place I went was the Porsche Museum (old one). What a disappointment. I breezed through there in short order and then spent the rest of the day perusing the MB Museum. It was awesome. (I…
Visited the MB museum a couple of years ago, and loved the quality of the museum and the variety of cars on display. I know the joke is that all Porsches look the same but the Porsche museum a few miles away was a major letdown by comparison, both in variety and detail (like half-translated placards).
How about political discussion, when warranted, without polarization?
Please do what you can to limit the politicization of this site.
This! There are plenty of other websites for political views, this should be a car website.
This is the BS, transparently self-serving line that the airline industry and its apologists have been serving up for years: “We’d provide a much better experience if it wasn’t for our pesky customers!” Just look at Basic Economy - that wasn’t a measure to decrease seat prices, because the prices didn’t go down. It…
Domestically, First/Business is largely a perk for the frequent fliers on most routes (which probably makes it even MORE valuable than selling the seats by keeping the high-paying pax loyal). Internationally there is a kernel of truth to that, depending on the route, which is why 2/3rds of the plane internationally can…
I was under the impression that first class basically pays for the rest of the plane to be there, particularly on international flights.Given that some airlines HAVE gone all business class on some flights, there is probably some regulatory stuff that doesn’t let US carriers do so on all flights.
It’s literally not a two-stroke engine, "essentially" or not.
The people serving on the HOA board would never say “bro” as they are 65+ years old.
BRO THAT FENCE IS 0.34 INCHES HIGHER THAN ALLOWED GOTTA TEAR IT DOWN
There is no such thing as a good HOA. Only ones that haven’t released their inner evil yet.
Invoke the anti-eviction powers of the quarantine orders. The HOA is essentially trying to evict someone from their own property in a time of emergency. Beat them over the head with the government-mandated exemptions, and then beat them over the head some more with health care workers and finally beat them over the…
