We shall see. I’d assume it’ll underpin the 6 as well as the CX-9 and likely a new CX-7. Two higher volume crossovers should help a RWD/AWD 6's production prospects. They say they want to move upmarket, even Hyundai/Kia have a RWD platform now.

But the problem is they will have to create a RWD longitudinal platform from scratch. I can’t imagine they will achieve enough volume to justify that.
They aren’t torquier than V6s, that idea doesn’t make any sense. I get that intake manifolds on 60 degree V6s can get tall, but that usually doesn’t cause reductions in peak torque.
I’d be pretty fucking livid if this was my car.
Not sure where your from but San Jose is considered a part of the bay area not SoCal. San Jose is in northern California. I agree it is a cash grab though.
To everyone about to tell me San Jose isn’t SoCal, I have already been informed, and I apologize for my ignorance
San Jose is in Northern California.
Northern CA.
I’ll be amazed if the writing isn’t on the wall for the hardtop, too. Question is when that time comes, will Nissan have anything to replace it, or is Nissan just gonna go further down into the abyss of mediocrity?
This gives me a great excuse to remind everyone that the 370Z’s chassis quite literally predates the world’s first commercially available camera phone.
The difference? Brad Keselowski had a stadium half full of people watching that. Haha.
I pulled the 360 stunt on a track day once. Laguna Seca, damp morning. Did a warm up lap, and after the yellow was lifted I was bit too energetic with the throttle coming out of turn 4, and the car decided it wasn’t having it and proceeded to spin a full 360 before casually facing forward as I sheepishly got back on…
Its always hard for me to picture a British car as being retro, as they often had production runs so long that they come in and out of style several times. I think they never get mentioned because everyone always second guesses, “Is it a retro version of an old car, or are they still just making the same car? Oh well,…
I can sum up exactly why the PT Cruiser sucks. It is owned by batshit crazy people. There is a house not too far away from me that has two PT Cruisers in the driveway. One of them is decorated to be a “zombie emergency response vehicle” and the other has ugly-ass smoothie hubcaps on it to make it look more retro. This…
I couldn’t agree more “Just”. These old jeeps can also shed parts in to the break lines. Which upon initial testing work fine. Then 50 miles later you step on the brake and only one drum or two work resulting in very dangerous situation causeing sudden and controllable lane drifts.
Please don’t try to go down a mountain until you’re convinced the brakes are working correctly. Better yet, until a brake expert is convinced.
It’s going to take me a long, long time to come around on that front end. I appreciate that they swung for the fences, but, man. Catfish vibes.
