Right?! I was so interested to see where they were going to take her character and then I was like, "Oh. Damn."

Did anyone catch that when Austin brought home the vacuum, his wife said "somewhere there's a poor girl in tears"? She knew he had just broken up with someone he was cheating on her with. That's why she's not impressed, she knows his game. And Austin kept romanticizing the beginnings of a relationship, when everything…
That would be interesting but given the reveal that she's dying of cervical cancer, I think it's unlikely. I think she is there to ultimately support Virginia and perhaps mentor her a bit, creating tension with Masters who wants to essentially control Virginia for himself, whether he's actively aware of it or not. I…
I agree with you - I've had experience with falling for someone that the timing is off or there's some kind of barrier and the power dynamic tends to shift wildly in those situations, as you both are pushing and pulling, obsessed with each other but afraid to be the one in the more vulnerable position. I felt like it…
Same here!
I had the exact same thought! I was so disappointed when she got on the elevator and the doors closed on her breaking down. I mean, damn, girlfriend has a bedroom all to herself, why not help her figure out the fun she could be having in it?!
Tricking someone into taking your virginity is despicable. Sorry that happened to you!
I'm totally with you, I have no idea why everyone is all up in arms over your comment. I understood where you were coming from.
I went back and rewatched the scene and it was definitely not in her head. It's about 13 minutes into the episode, she goes in and tells Bill that she talked to Ethan and that he didn't say anything about the study. Bill ignores her so she says "If this is about us and the study together, then we can sort it out. I…
Who the fuck left "satisfied"?
I'm bummed that there wasn't more talk about Boyle in the review - I thought he was on fire in this episode. That weird, distant but somehow frantic dead-eyed look he gets kills me every time. I thought for a character who really didn't have much of a plot of his own, he really owned the screen every time he was on it.
So glad I stopped watching this show and only read the reviews
As someone who tries to be in control all the time, I relate to Olivia's feelings for Fitz. He doesn't respect her boundaries, which is bad, but when you are always in control and you are always logical and protecting yourself, sometimes you want someone to break your boundaries.
She did when she was talking to him about firing her - she said something like "If this is about your proposal (I'm paraphrasing) we can work something out"
I love the entire cast but Braugher is in his own league. How he manages to play stern and warm at the exact same time is beyond me, and he moves with the confidence of a veteran. The statue part from the last episode had me belly laughing. Even when he's being "tough" he never comes across as mean or unfair. You…
I had trouble with this ep too, after loving the pilot. I felt sick and anxious through most of it - having Virginia get hit by a crazy asshole in the first episode, then having to watch her offer to prostitute herself to keep her job in the second, ugh it was just too much. Everything with Bill's wife was utterly…
I made it as far as the kiss between Jack and Emily when he randomly pulled back and said he felt nothing for her and then I turned it off. This show lost me, the complicated love story between them was always an important thread for me and for him to suddenly turn all soapstar drama queen just turned me off. Also,…
Skye and Ward's dialogues were the worst, most awkward, forced things I've ever heard. The rest of the episode was enjoyable (not perfect, but enjoyable), but their whole convo over the scotch/whiskey/whatever had me crawling with anxiety for the scene to be over.
I love them as a couple too! I hope they stay together ala Leslie and Ben / Andy and April. I like how shows are starting to embrace that healthy couples can be as, if not more, interesting/entertaining than constant on again off again drama.
@avclub-9417cd6052217011253e79907726659e:disqus OMG yes! I love your idea!!!! I wish they had gone down this route, I was very disappointed at CeCe's confession at the end of season 2, along with this entire stupid double-dating storyline. I thought her and Schmidt would get to be friends while he continued his…
