My absolute favorite thing about this show is they don't do the "will they? won't they?" with their characters for storyline. They may experience a few bumps along the way, but once two characters like each other they end up together and form a sweet, entertaining couple. I love how they don't rely on sexual tension

"Utrasound Technician: I'm so sorry, you seem to have miscarried. Also,
you have crazy eyes. Like seriously, your eyes right now? Super crazy. I
mean, we can't fix that here, but you should have somebody look at
that."

Walt met Gretchen's family, who are rich, and felt inadequate and agnry, even though (I believe) the family was welcoming enough (though he claims they "chased him off"). He dumps Gretchen, and then ends up leaving Gray Matter. If you remember from when they met up at the restaurant, she says, "You left us!" and

You bring up some really good points, I hadn't looked at this way. Very insightful! I agree with your assessment, and now that I can see it from this light, it makes his relationship with his wife that much sadder. She wants to give him what Virginia is, and she seems capable of it, but he won't let her. He's put her

Haha, I'd happily adopt that identity!

I didn't get the whole suggestion for Caplan and Sheen to sleep together. To me, that would greatly endanger the validity of the study, it seems like it would indicate that Sheen is only doing it because he's a sex-craved pervert (like everyone assumes). I really hate that whole plot line, but maybe that's what

Walt looked like Jesse to me when he was closing the gate at the Schwartz' house and it just broke my heart into a million pieces.

@avclub-c70044e2a75b836382fdcd39520ff0ab:disqus I think the Todd/Lydia thing played out would be her locked in a room being fed ice cream for the rest of her life.

The phone call with Skylar was his goodbye to her. The pain and anguish is real not because that's what he wanted to say to her, but because he knows this is the last conversation they'll ever have and instead of being able to apologize or tell her he loves her or make any kind of emotional connection, he has to say

It was brutal to watch Walt fight so hard to save Hank and then dispassionately sign off on the death of Jesse, who he could've saved with just a word.

I don't think Walt is going to rescue Jesse. I could be wrong, but the way he coldly gave him up for torture and execution seems pretty final to me. I think he's going to come back to get vengeance on Uncle Jack, and then he and Jesse will have some kind of interesting interaction.

I agree with you, Dear. Mr. McPickleshitter, that was the only intentionally funny comment. That small moment reminded me of early seasons of Dexter where the show could be successfully tongue-in-cheek about itself.

Amazing, you hit on so many good points! Especially that the flippin' Deputy Marshall didn't recognize Saxon, that just infuriated me beyond reason.

I'm shocked, "You should enter one of those cooking shows, you'd win!" didn't make the cut.

There definitely was veggie bashing and I was someone who wrote to him to tell him it bothered me. He did a good thing here.

I want to say it was on the review of the Top 9 compete that people were totally veggie bashing.

In defense of the writing, it's actually very common for serial killers to give their trophies to their family members so they can get a thrill of remembrance from seeing the trophies everyday and also from the sheer arrogance of it. Most serial killers get their kicks off thinking they are smarter than everyone, and

Was I the only one that thought the "beat down" scene was painfully awkward and not even a little masculine/macho? I was stifling giggles the whole time. Harvey looks much tougher in threat than action.

I agree, he's a total Don Draper to me - handsome? Sure, I guess, but otherwise not even remotely compelling. Seems to just be some dude's idea of what a "perfect man" would look like.

The actress who plays Rachel has such an amazing ability to convey conflicting emotions and poignancy. To see her reduced to Jealous, Love-Sick Girlfriend and Tittering BFF is a terrible shame. Same with Donna. Her fiery wit being used to agree to a sex arrangement with a creepy, not-hot-at-all Brit is a total waste.
