At the risk of angering the world I only ended up binging on BB when I saw what rave reviews BCS was getting and felt like I couldn't watch the latter without the former. I have to say that I find this a superior show and I'm loving it.

I can't even pretend to ironically enjoy this show for its stupidity any more. And that's disappointing.

Also, I felt terrible for Anonymous French Man Number 1 - no one seemed to care he died, not even Anonymous French Man 2 who was all "bonjour Emma!" not "mon frère est mort!"

The one problem with this episode is that there was so much killing, no one had time to do their "stabgasm o-faces". It's just not The Following without people being knife-fucked, accompanied by some genuinely creepy acting. Also, Joe? It's lunchtime mate, and that's a glass of wine not a gatorade. Sip it. Just sip it.

I might be missing something, but the fact that Tom was high up in the Monroe Republic… well of course he knew Miles and Bass. It's obvious that encampment is the seed of the Republic, so I'd be surprised if most of the top level guys hadn't been there from the beginning.

I've been using the term Shafties for Arrow fans. It's a terrible to give people and I'm sticking with it.

Well, it was perhaps not the "classic episode" we've come to expect from The Following, but this ep still had enough of the elements that makes this show the wet, hot mess I've come to love.
To whit: Mr Bacon appears to be taking a leaf from the Book of Liotta, especially the chapter entitled "In the Name of the King"

Once again, this show delivers. I don't exactly know what it's delivering but it's delivering it in spades. While we were light on flashbacks, sadly, Kevin's "What Would Jack Bauer Do?" moment when he thumbs away at Random McSuit's fresh bullet wound - with obviously successful results - was superb.
Just settle back,

This episode sealed it for me. I don't think I ever laughed so damn hard at a TV show that didn't have Will Arnett in it. This show is my new jam.
We had Snarky Bacon terrifying the threesome kids, we had a flash back sequence INSIDE ANOTHER FLASHBACK SEQUENCE, we had FBI agents who apparently think stairs are magical

Guys… guys… The game is Two Up and it's a bloody tradition in Australia and played in nearly every pub on ANZAC Day. And it's not a prairie. It's "the bush" or "the scrub".

I cannot understand some of the hate for this show. I'm, if not loving it exactly, finding it competent and compelling.

That Fred Savage cameo was gifted. Loved it.

This is fast becoming my favourite thing on TV - I'm just still worried about how they can maintain this for a whole season with it getting stale. Still - right now it's a ride and a half.

This was just so damn talkie I ended up tuning out without meaning to - it's just turning a little blandy mcbland with the dialogue.

I'll give that theory two thumbs up!

I assumed that the intro was done that way to negate the need of a "previously on Homeland" but then we got one anyway, that repeated chunks of dialogue!

This is what I've been liking - the nature of unreliable flashbacks: what's the real deal, what's Brody's PSTD-Stockholmed mind going apeshit. Awesome bit of storytelling.

Amazingly excellent episodes - good closure on some elements, great set ups on others. And Gary cutting sick with the truncheon was oddly satisfying.

Seriously fricking amazing TV.
