Funniest scene of the episode. I love this show, but I don't get if that was unintentional or intentional humor. We had a time traveling, teleporting, incredibly intelligent person from the future get frustrated by an elevator, and despite having minimal emotions, he still pressed the damn button repeatedly thinking

Yes. They're under contract to do no fewer than 80 male rape jokes a season. If they fail to comply, the production company has the right to terminate their contracts. I believe their union is in talks to bring it down to 65 rape jokes a season, but I'm not sure if they're making much headway.

I like Community, but I never get why treating Community (and other low rated, beloved shows) as it has been treated is regarded as brainless. It's certainly not brainless from a business sense.

It's largely imagined. People have a need to start to tear down shows like this after three or four seasons. See Parks & Recreation, 30 Rock, or Community as other examples of this. None of these shows can stay at their peak forever, but the criticism they get at times is completely overblown.

I'm not sure why the review spelled it "Mittleman". Everything I've ever read has it spelled "Middleman".

It may be the only time in the series where Tobias delivers a non-jokey line that has him actually using his years of education.
