This is why I have no problem with the 1.2 badging on the back of my car. I know it's slow, and there's nothing that can be done about it. Hiding the fact is irrelevant.

Between those stupid black 5 mph bumpers in the 70s, a-pillars the size of a tree, side windows you can't see out of because the sill is too high, hoods that have to be way above the engine as a crash zone for pedestrians, and mandatory abs/traction control/etc, it's amazing…

I think the police presence CAUSES the rioting. The populace cannot take out their anger and frustration on the police, as they will be murdered, so they take it out on the infrastructure. Everyone who blames rioting for the police presence has the situation backward, in my opinion.

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and be one of the first to disagree with Automatic Transmissions being added. Yes, they're good for the reasons you stated but I would argue that's more than offset by people being free to drive with one hand or with a knee/leg and mess with phones, makeup, food, shaving, etc.
