It’s been total entitled, spoiled, petty white woman bullshit.

I agree with you. And she’s basically been a bratty asshat about this whole thing.

I mean, you know...the buildings aren’t even safe but they draw the line at clothing for bigger bodies.

I’m laughing at the idea of them paying more being the reason since they have people working in 3rd world sweatshops and more than one major clothing retailer has used factories that have literally collapsed. They could do it if they wanted to b/c they wouldn’t feel obliged to pay those people any more than they do

I like that he doesn’t act like dressing the plus sized celebrities is a chore, he keeps them on trend instead of hiding them, and he overall doesn’t seem fatphobic like a lot of designers are.

maybe they need cranes to lift those huge pieces of fabric *eye roll*

If you have old tights you might be able to repurpose them for this...cut them longer than you’d want and fold them under. I’ve done it and felt it was a good solution if I wanted that separation/protection but no hold. Spanx original low power short was just a two ply version of this and I am so mad they changed them.

In my experience, a lot of junior plus are shorter and shorter through the torso. Some of them work well for me, but some are just way shorter than I’d want to wear. and yes, a narrower cut.

I know you didn’t ask me but I’d suggest

A lot of plus size bloggers say you should always “Cruise” the straight section b/c of not just the XXL but b/c of some items that might fit b/c of how they are made.

I’m sad that ppl think that shaming is a good thing. Loving how I look in my clothes definitely plays into my love of taking care of my body.

You are me and every one of your recommendations is what I would have said! I also shop TOO much. I need to do a no buy month. And then 6 more.

I think if you are a tights wearer, you can repurpose old tights by cutting off the legs at the desired length. The original style of low/no hold Spanx were basically just two ply tights shorts and I miss them b/c they were the best if you were wearing Spanx to eliminate thigh chafing and not to fit into tight

Look for online retailers that offer free return shipping b/c while you are temporarily without the cash until your return is processed, it does mean you don’t have to run up shipping costs returning things that don’t fit.

I think nowadays you can do better than Kiyonna in terms of price and style so don’t feel bad about skipping them. I had them in the past but like Igigi, they are pretty one note with their styling.

Look for a blogger who has your build. That’s a good way to figure out what clothing lines work with your body type.

I think you should look again b/c several bloggers have done videos on this and discussed this on You Tube. Plus sized princess has a blog post on chub rub, and Garnerstyle has done posts on foundation garments and seems to be speaking from experience with them.

I recently saw them at Nordstrom Rack.

Yes, ppl who don’t know where to shop are probably new to the game or I admit that the fast fashion market is not great for plus (except for Forever 21) if you have a tight budget. Like, I have ppl asking about my clothes all of the time because I dress really well.

That’s not totally true. A lot of it is body type. I definitely weigh more than women wearing those sizes but I don’t have a fat back or huge stomach, so I find a better fit because of that.
