Yes, and the original body panels were meant to last one race only, and many of the historic race cars like this have been reskinned at least once. Here you have the steel chassis which can be repaired, the original drivetrain, the instrument panel and some other bits. Hardly a Ferrari of Theseus.

If the intention was “minimum” speed at which point a pedestrian would die, that is an interesting question. The height of the hood would be the killer and make that speed a lot lower than say a sedan. I’d say even more than the inherent weight that hood height brings to the table.
