No? Sure we all decry the bro and the mall crawler, but do they truly make up the bulk of light-duty truck ownership, making the person who bought their truck for its intended purpose atypical?

Yeah the payload on the Dakota is 1100 I think. Not much better on the Ram at 1,400. But we upgraded primarily for the camper; I mean it’s cool and all to say “I haul my 24' trailer with a midsize, take that you brotruck fucks” but the poor thing was really starting to struggle. Couple that with the blown seals I

Yeah, I don’t want to see that bill. Renting a pickup for one-off deals is fine for most people. I don’t want to haul my camper halfway across the country - dogs in tow - in a UHaul single cab special. We take that camper out nearly every other weekend (plus a two-week excursion coming in August.

Often enough that we upgraded to a 1500. Tons (literally) of home improvement items, our camper which sees a great amount of use, my FIL’s predilection for buying large auction lots and the fact that more horses are in our future means our trucks see a large amount of truckly duties

True dat, true dat

But can it do 3,600 lbs of pavers?

+1 for having owned a VehiCROSS

Fuselage Chrysler is best Chrysler

Damn straight it’s too big and that’s the way I likes it

I’d love to hear an Ozzy Man review of this

The intro cards and segues for Conversation Street make it entertaining enough to keep.

1955 Ford F-100. Granted it was basically a 1989 F-150 underneath, and a mix of 1995 Windstar/1986 Firebird inside, but it still counts right?

Seven or eight years ago we purchased a used, but “well maintained”, Dodge Ram 1500. A 1998 model with the big 5.9, “quad-cab” and SLT Laramie trim.

1995 Dodge Dakota “Project Thanks Obama!”. It’s used to tow a ~6000 lb (wet) camper. Handles Colorado just fine, taking the mountain runs and whatnot without giving a hint of trouble. The same can’t be said for Kansas.

...these trucks drive around with gaping holes in their rear ends.

Yeah that is a pain. We don’t particularly need a quad cab (or qrew qab or whatever they’re called) either, but them’s the breaks I guess. More room for the dags to stretch out lol

But the Chevy is ugly.

I’ve been trying. The local GMC shop tried to entice me (before the 2017s came out) with 16 grand off MSRP. The Chevy shops, well I’m still waiting on them to call me when a 2500HD High Country shows up.

I did the math recently and a kitted-out Silverado 2500HD High Country carries about the same MSRP as a kitted-out Sierra 2500HD Denali.

I’m apparently falling behind on my internet sarcasm acknowledgment courses. I should go back to school
