Not really...Manufacturers always use engine dyno numbers not wheel dyno numbers. But most turbo (and supercharged) cars are always underrated by the manufacturer. This is because the number they advertise has to account for potential variations, primarily heat soak which is a common performance issue with turbo cars.

No one said to pull the car by dragging the tires across the tarmac. There are other ways to move a car with locked brakes. They can use wheel dollies under the wheels to move it around. IMSA should buy a set of these at Harbor Freight.

Its curious that they didn’t try swapping the manifold around. Most V8 engines are symmetric around the center of the engine and its possible to rotate it around.
