Nice how this suddenly isn't about Cadillac and its decisions, but all premium makes besides the German Big Three. The truth is, all of the brands you listed face different issues.

Luxury goods of any type are not about logic. They're emotional purchases — even when it's just a practical, conventional sedan.

You completely misunderstand the history. Not every American was part of a union but the unions most certainly did create standards, improve working conditions, and elevated wages for all blue collar workers. The laws protecting all workers that unions championed all self-evident.

I do see what they mean. And this is a car primarily for China, so perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised it features some design plagiarism.

That first Kia hatchback has been on sale for longer than the BMW 2 Active Tourer. BMW is at fault in that one.

“it’s more like an Audi A6 or A7 or a BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe.”

The CLS has been around for 11 years — not 6. And it is a four-door coupe, as are the A7 and 6 GC it inspired. People buy these cars for their style, plunging rooflines, and perceived sportiness.

This picture is stunning.

I can easily tell them apart. Which is how I know the 570S is prettier.

Thank you for responding. I can tell it's gorgeous already, and I can't wait to see it at the NYIAS. In particular, I like the surface detailing, flying buttresses, rear EVERYTHING (holy diffuser!), cabin, and carbon accents. Honestly, I think it's the sexiest McLaren ever.

I don't think it's that simple. The C63 will have a mechanical LSD and the C63 S will have an electronic LSD. The new AMG GT and GT S have very similar powertrains, and incorporate LSDs. And the GT doesn't have the wheelspin of the old SLS.

Yeah, I've seen the spy shots. The front looks like a C sedan. The back looks like an S Coupe. The roofline and proportions are unique. I really think it'll be special.

This C63 has more torque than the old C63. It also has a turbo engine now, so a lot of the torque is available from low RPMs.

I can't wait to see the coupe!

The more I look at it, the more I think this is the sexiest McLaren ever.

The official pics do look amazing.

It looks so fucking pretty in the official pics on that French site. All the details are amazing and it's far more stylistic than the other two. But the headlights look awkward in those Instagram pics.

Official pics are mostly beautiful. The headlights look much less noticeable. I think they'd look better if they're pointed ends faced forward, so they were more vertical units — Aston-style.

Really didn't expect the headlights to look so awkward.

I really didn't expect them to give it terrible tC/Corolla-style headlights. Looks like an avoidable misstep.
