The Germans depreciate, but these Cadillacs seem like a terrible investment. The ATS is still a new model, and everyone says there are pre-owned ones for the price of a mid-level Civic.

What you didn't mention were the overall disappointing sales of the ATS. Its volume is still a fraction of German entrants in the segment.
You have no idea if it's good or not. You haven't driven it. We haven't even seen any reviews yet.
The X5 doesn't allow for the existence of the M3. The BMW 3-Series allows for the existence of the M3. It's their biggest seller in the US and one of their biggest sellers globally. It is a profitable car. The M3, too, is a profitable car. They don't sell it at a loss. They sell it to make money — in a 3-series family…
Thanks for the rundown. I couldn't keep it in the gray.
You just brought out the anti-NSX trolls. I don't understand them. Who doesn't like more sportscar options, especially from a company with a proven sportscar record?
I disagree with part of your statement. Mercedes hasn't had the same design theme for decades. Mercedes design was very different eight years ago. And it was different eight years before that.
Keep in mind this is the S pricing. The base GT arrives in 2016, and will be cheaper.
Motor Authority (another site) said the GT S Edition 1 looks more expensive, exotic, and special than the F-Type in person. They also said the GT is tougher to photograph well, so it's hard to see just how low and purposeful it looks in person when viewing photos.
This is good news for you, but terrible news for Jaguar. The F-Type has, for the most part, been a sales disappointment. Only the limited-editions actually sell well. Could it be because it's a heavy, chopped-down XKR under that sheetmetal? Perhaps.
You have no idea what you're talking about. AMG has already announced there will be a GT3-style version of this car. This GT S is aimed to be a usable premium sports car—meaning, featuring creature comforts and ready for daily driving.
Congratulations. And I'm jealous.
Porsches are like Pokemons. Gotta catch 'em all.
I think it's a good, simple, stylish interior. Just enough flair. The 911's interior is nice in good colors, but it's far from beautiful or simple. The McLaren 650S has an okay interior. The 458 puts even more buttons on the steering wheel than this does.
Absolutely the i8 kept getting tamer and tamer. Down to the headlights. There were too many i8 concepts to count, but when it debuted last year, everyone congratulated BMW on being so innovative. Acura develops a product that I have a sneaking suspicion is better and people are saying everything but "this shit is gay."
There's still hope for the V10, right? Right???
I guess we'll have to wait until the M4 and C63 are getting mid cycle updates before seeing a next gen RS4. At the very least.
Well I appreciate the logical points you make and agree with basically all of them. This is a really tribal site oversaturated with increasingly stale automotive memes.
BTW, it really pisses me off when people start counting when the last NSX exited production. Or a 2005 concept. Or a 2007 concept for a high-end V10 GT. Or in 2010, when Tony Stark drove a mock up of an Acura roadster.
"people were too busy fellating GM about how awesome it was."
