Fuck anonymity. James Bond is cool. And Aston Martins are cool.

We'll have to wait and see how the DB11 looks. Based on this effort, I have faith it will continue Aston's tradition of stunning cars. I very much like the DB10, but there are a couple of things I'd like resolved for the DB11 — including the headlight shape and the bulkiness of the rear diffuser.

A little too bulky.

$120,000 would be the pricepoint of the next Vantage (probably).

I wouldn't call them ugly, but I'm definitely neutral about them. It's the one detail I'd like to see changed for production models. I wish they'd stick with vertical headlight shapes, like on most of the current cars.

I wouldn't say exactly like, but I do see the similarities. I prefer what I've seen of the DB10's ass, though. That ducktail is stunning.

It's not leaving the range just yet. Remember, the new Vanquish still uses this engine. Aston has a contract with Ford to supply these engines until at least 2017, IIRC.

DB11 is a good bet. It was likely to be called the DB11 even without this (they jumped from DB7 to DB9 to demonstrate the advancement).

Right?! Maserati has offered the Quattroporte since the 60s, so that's fine. And if they want an SUV and the Ghibli, whatever. The Alfieri will be a 911 rival and the new GT should be a stunner. But I'd love to see Maserati also develop a six-figure sports car range. I mean, they used to build mid-engine sports cars.

Except the 599 GTO didn't come with a dual clutch transmission. The 599 is a last-generation Ferrari, and had a single-clutch automated transmission with the "F1" moniker.

If they can't maintain a business case, there'll be NO Vipers. That's something no one wants to see.

Ferrari won't be part of the family pretty soon, so there'll be no excuse.

Discuss synergy in your powerpoint.

I don't know if it will die, but FCA would be smart to reimagine the Viper as a direct Corvette competitor. I don't think Chevy would own the affordable sports car market if there was a $55,000 Dodge Viper — so long as such a cheap Viper isn't a complete POS.

Delusions of grandeur, I see.

Very, very true.

You're acting like current Astons don't have low roofs and wide rear haunches. I don't expect the production variant to look like a lorry.

BMW has similar sales shenanigans in the US. I wouldn't be surprised if they were using every tactic necessary to 'win' China.

I think they used the DB5 is the last one because Sam Mendes was very eager to get the franchise back to its roots.

So don't buy one.
