Car and Driver reported the current SL was created by three different designers. That's why the front, profile, and rear all seem disjointed.

I wasn't trying to be hostile. I just don't think in those terms in this segment.

Awesome, incredible car — even if I would prefer a different headlight treatment.

Since when does luxury need to have a point?

I agree with you 100%. I don't find Cadillacs desirable *at all,* even though I'm a luxury-minded millennial. And I don't know a single person who would pay their own money for a Cadillac. I've sat in the newest generation and I concur it felt quite cheap and low-quality.

That's wishful thinking. The Chinese already have a voracious appetite for Audis and BMWs. That doesn't mean Cadillac can't get sales there. But Buick has more brand equity than Cadillac in China. It would take a very long time to change perceptions.

The Superleggera is absolutely stunning. Its level of craftsmanship is remarkable. I hope they don't fuck up its charm in production.

It is gorgeous.

Great article. Really a joy to read.

I just find it to be really boring. But maybe my standards are too high. My two favorite cities in the world are London and New York, where I live.

This is the funniest comment I've ever read on this site. Please, go on…

Now I see why you were lukewarm about the GT. You've had the F-Type for a week — which is a truly intoxicating vehicle, even if it isn't the best.

So apt you use the word "flaccid." That shot looks like a hooker trying to wake up an impotent man.

I never used the word racist. I just think it was tone-deaf. And there's a long history of companies saying to the press that they didn't want black people to be associated with their brands — including Crystal champagne, Tommy Hilfiger, and Timberland boots. Among those companies and others, there's a view that black

The waiting list is certainly much shorter at Lambo than Ferrari. But the Huracan is brand new and the Aventador still has big demand. I don't think people are paying below sticker now (maybe when the Gallardo was still on sale). But you can certainly get a Lambo at MSRP and not have to wait 18 months to drive it. I

Except Lamborghini sells far fewer cars than Ferrari. They only have two models, and Ferrari has long outsold them.

Astons depreciate much more than Ferraris, but they also sell far fewer cars than Ferrari does.

Lamborghini sells far fewer cars than Ferrari's 7000 per year. Literally thousands less. Usually between 2000 and 5000 cars a year, depending on the product cycles.

It's coming. The SLS had one, and the GT will as well. In addition, AMG is hinting to auto journalists that a road-legal GT3 is coming. They're describing it as a turnkey racecar.

Mercedes-Benz is not the world's largest luxury automaker. BMW is. Merc just happens to be the best.
