At least the first one can be mitigated with the Nixperience Band that got added to the first free DLC package. Just need to remember to equip it before camping...

The Chocobo controls are one of my biggest pet peeves about this game. The fact that Noctis, the Chocobo and the Regalia all have a different control scheme from one another is so user-unfriendly.
