After Trump lost the election, I saw some predictions that there will soon be a flood of tell-all books from the administration’s officials. I guess that’s not happening?

They canceled Josh Hawley’s book after the Capitol riot, so maybe switching to the guy who was going to get hanged that day is their way of making up for it?

Speaking of which, there’s a half-empty bottle of Coke hiding behind the phone. I guess he’s not boycotting Coke like a good Republican should.

Considering how much he wanted his face on Mount Rushmore, it’s probably been sent down to the sculptor’s studio to get re-carved into Trump’s likeness.

The reproduction Resolute Desk, the photos on the wall, the “45office” website ... You know what this reminds me of? The guy who still wears his high school letter jacket in college.

It’s been my observation that the “I/we deserve x” attitude is the source of many, many societal ills.

In other words, these people yearn for the good old days, when life was “nasty, brutish, and short.”

I’d imagine they’re also not the best at wearing masks—it must be so difficult to find ones customized for beaks!

Here’s an explanation (https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2021/04/post-vaccination-risk/618500/ — free to read as part of The Atlantic’s coronavirus coverage):

“We don’t have evolution on our side,” Devi Sridhar, a professor of public health at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, told the paper. “This pathogen seems to always be changing in a way that makes it harder for us to suppress.”

Then on Thursday, news broke that he boasted about his sexual escapades on the floor of Congress.

Which means that there is an actual dam paper trail which NYT was able to review.

There is always a tweet.

Uh, fourth wave, y’all.

It ain’t called the Suez Carnal for nothing, you know.

You ain’t kidding.

Thank you for doing the work so I didn’t have to. I was going mad wondering “when did A’ become a Roman numeral?”

We’ll reach herd immunity if enough of us are vaccinated, at which point the risk drops for the untreated population. Whether this bit of ratiocination went into the “no vaccine for me!” stance or not, in effect these people are mooching off the responsible members of society.

In a place outside the home, too.
