It doesn’t need to ease tensions, it just needs to work. I don’t care if the other guy with a gun is mad at me, as long as I’m the one sitting behind bullet proof glass.

I visited NYC last month and was fairly nervous about riding the subway based on all the articles on here. Having almost zero subway experience I found it rather easy to get around and the only delay I experience was from the accident mentioned in the article, which involved walking a couple of blocks to the next line…

The five-spoke gunmetal gray part, I totally get. That’s a pretty classic and simple wheel design. But what about that extra carbon fiber, uh—trim?—along the inside? What is that for? It looks hard to clean behind.

One game I love to play with design is to guess the designer’s inspiration. The cool, flowing lines of water; the crisp jaggedness of a craggy cliff face; the almost unimaginable sleekness of birds of prey or sharks; all of these have inspired designers over the years.

When in doubt .. fake badges and stickers. Maybe, even those combo wind and rain deflectors. And since this is a high end beast ... painted flames coming out of the fake side vents.

I hate wheels that combine two wheel designs into one. Just pick a design. Either go with a classic 5 spoke or go with a “Blade” look. But that whole car is a mess and the wheels are the least of its problems.

It’s like the designers view the Civic Type R as a challenge.

Come to Detroit, see all the vacant lots, and burned out houses.
