Marketing. They were incredibly successful in tapping the “stick it to the man, share-economy” market. Who needs regulation and licensing? C’mon kids, let’s put on a show in the old barn! That’s filled with rapists!

It seems to me you’re not allowing for different types of attraction styles, though. I, despite being a girl, have never gone from “no romantic interest” to “romantic interest” after getting to know a guy, no matter how fantastic and cool he was. I usually go from “no romantic interest” to “platonic friend interest!”…
I don’t have time to meet every dude who’s potentially interested in me. I’m especially unlikely to be sympathetic given that most of the men in question considered my pictures when deciding whether they’d like to meet me.
Wait, so you can’t win if you don’t pronounce a name, which it’s wildly unlikely is actually pronounced in the American fashion, correctly even if you pronounce it phonetically? What would they do with Telemachus or Lysistrata? No one ‘knows’ how those names are pronounced.
I wish you were wrong, but you ain’t wrong. I think he’s just such a nice guy that nobody wants to be the first to tell him. And I mean that seriously.
“it’s important to note that in lawsuits like this, lawyers will routinely request an extreme sum with the expectation that it will be drastically reduced.”
I’m going strictly for the spectacle as Del Toro has proven over and over again he can’t write for shit but like Lucas, isn’t letting that or anyone else stop him.
Awful Announcing, which covers sports media, had a great breakdown of why Andrews is owed every damn penny. (My emphasis.)
Okay, so Frosted Flakes and Coke might not be the most nutritious things ever. But the trend of calling junk food “poison” is getting tired.
The intent of my comment was not to engage in a pissing contest, but since you asked, I have donated my money to a friend’s fundraising page who is running in a 5k for the Leukemia & Lymphoma society in honor of my husband, who just recovered from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. I have donated my time to my local food bank,…
Every flight I’ve ever been on has also allowed all military personnel to board priority also, so a veteran requiring assistance would absolutely have been given priority boarding. That whole explanation just sounds like a made up excuse on the part of the FA, and doesn’t explain why someone was waiting to take her…
I have no problem believing someone would say that. I do have a problem believing the other passengers would boo the flight attendant and the airline if someone was kicked off after saying that to an FA trying to seat a disabled person.
Yeah, and the kind of universal and vociferous support she appears to have had from her fellow customers is rare - it makes me think the whole situation must have been ridiculous, no gray area, flight attendant’s fault in order to provoke that kind of response.
Delta once tried to bump me from a flight that was overbooked. I was traveling with my family but they wanted me to stay in New York and catch a later flight to Florida. Oh and I was 9 years old. And I’m not a US citizen. So that seemed like a good decision.
When you get involuntarily booted from a flight, you need to know your rights. AA and all airlines have every incentive to lower their involuntary bumps because the Department of Transportation will investigate if they see high numbers. That’s why gate agents are incentivized themselves to get you to be a voluntary…
Well, you know, if it’s true, fuck American Airlines (oops not United). Never flying them then. I don’t want some asshole booting me for no actual reason so that someone else can take my seat.
I find it extremely hard to believe someone would say that on a crowded plane. That sounds exactly the type of story one would make up in an attempt to make someone look bad. It just sounds super villain evil fake.
This is by who’s account? In every single experience I have had flying they would allow someone who needed assistance to board first. If that person shows up in the middle of the boarding process, they ask them to wait. I find it hard to believe, it sounds made up to get the most sympathy, if you ask me.
Weirdly I can totally believe they would boot her to make room for another passenger. I had an American Airlines flight cancelled one time, at the last minute and with no explanation. They did nothing to try and accommodate the passengers left stranded. And worse, they had overbooked the same Chicago->NYC flights for…
I almost never see movies in the theater anymore (the siren song of being able to watch films in the comfort of my living room with my hand wrapped around a beer and the liberty to pause when I need to pee is too strong, plus, obviously, the $$$$ factor) but I am definitely going to shell out for this one. I freaking…
