Nissan making some cool(er) and interesting cars lately, who coulda thunk it?

Really enjoyed this review and glad to hear that the new Z is so much fun. Looking forward to seeing them on the road.

excellent choice - these look fantastic in person. My other suggestion was going to be a BMW i8. I have a fond spot for them and if theyre already driving a Tesla they are familiar with EVs.

Scouts are cool as hell and this is good news. I hope they actually make it happen.

This car is fucking stupid and so are the ppl who will buy it.

Those of us who live in/on the Colorado Plateau are already there at 1.5C. And rising quickly.

You are entirely correct

Yeah, basically. Due to NIMBYs and single family zoning Denver and pretty much every city that is remotely “desirable” is only for the rich. Avg price of a SFH in Denver is almost a million now and the median aint that far behind either.

Hell yeah! The house next door to me went up for sale last week and was under contract in two days. I hate all my neighbors..if i could have afforded it i would have bought this house and kept it as a rental to ppl i know. Now, i just have to hope for a non-asshole neighbor.

This is wise and smart advice. Agree totally.

lol, no, not music. Its a tool of gentrification basically. You take wonderful old neighborhoods with 100 year old homes that top out generally at around 1500 sq feet and you buy the house/lot and then tear it down and build a monstrosity on it.

Battery tech has been around for a long time and is very well understood is my point.

Jesus..that car + kid is likely to equal very bad things.

in what universe are EVs not a proven tech?

1st gear: The richest person i know bought a 2 million new construction rake & scrape 2 years ago in my favorite Denver neighborhood. Last month he bought the old brick bungalow next door for 1 million cause he liked the house and figured he’d come up w/a reason for buying it later. Better to guarantee his neighbors

When do meaningful clawbacks occur? So what happens in 5 years when maybe only 2000 ppl work there and not 7500 and the money keeps flowing? Would that not be stealing, effectively?

lol

oh you sweet Summer child

1st gear - lets check back in on this in a few years to see how much public money rivian ends up stealing. Im not saying this is Foxconn in Wisconsin but lets just say these public/private partnerships often end up being more about the private than the public.

Steve, i enjoyed this review thank you. I was hoping for more from this car and its Toyota sibling. Im a subee owner and a longtime fan of the brand but this car is very much the defintion of meh. Id buy a Kia/Hyundai EV over the toybaru twins at this point.
