yeah..sadly i have to agree w/you. The pretty stuff in WY is all-time pretty but a lot of the state has been through resource extraction hell and back. Coal is on the way out due to not being able to beat solar/wind on price anymore and fracking..well fracking is still big but not quite booming like it was.

I feel for you. I used to regularly go Denver to SLC and back and, yeah, thats rough. I got stranded in Rock Springs in the last massive blizzard this part of the country ever saw in 2003. I got lucky as hell by stopping before everyone else and snagging one of the last motel rooms in town.

Having been stuck in WY before the thing in this article i most related to was putting a building b/n you and the worst of the wind. I-80 in particular through WY is just a few hundred miles of constant wind tunnel all year long. Its uncanny.

Thanks for your first hand input on this. A future EV for me will be used primarily as an in town commuter and errand doer. Maybe ill hop on the interstate for a couple hundred miles but that would be about that.

If the chip shortage and egregious rent seeking continues for a good long time i might just look at a Prius, speaking of a hybrid. 

I know a number of folks that are happy w/their Teslas and im glad youre good w/yours. There is lots to recommend them but the more i read about their very carefree style of safety oversight the more i am likely to not go in their direction.

lol, just typical tech baron shit. I appreciate Tesla for all its done in mainstreaming EVs and building a car company from scratch. Truly impressive feats. However, as someone who will most certainly by an EV here in the next few years i wouldnt ever consider buying one from Tesla.
