I agree. My Outback + blizzaks = undefeated vs snow unless its truly very deep/heavy snow. 

Correct. My Xterra is on KO2s at the moment and it sucks in the snow/ice vs my Subaru currently running Blizzaks. Honestly, even when i put my Xterra on its Blizzaks its still doesnt match up the Subaru on snow tires.

Sadly it was a total mess but my point being is that it shouldnt have been that bad. It doesnt have to be. Just a lot of pointless bad times and in the case of this poor guy a death that shouldnt have happened. 

This says otherwise with regards to snow totals. Im sure some local areas got a lot but wide swaths of Maryland/VA didnt get that much. Ive lived in NC and TN and seen firsthand how shit goes to hell w/storms out there.

Because ppl in emergencies behave very erratically. Its not hte movies or some shit. Most ppl have no clue what theyre doing and arent physically/mentally tough enough to keep their wits about them.

Just brutal. But unless you know where youre going and what you are doing its always best to stay in a known area. I go hiking/backpacking a lot in the back country and dont go moving around in an emergency unless you truly have the skills/stamina and experience to get yourself back to your car/trailhead.

I keep making that same dumb joke because lots of ppl on this forum feel this way - that unless an ev gets 600 miles of range while towing 25k pounds and costing 30k that there is no point to an ev. 

This is clearly not enough range. We need 1000 miles minimum for the average american driver to even consider an EV.
