Apple has hundreds of billions in cash..its always chilling (to me at least) that these companies wont even spend literal pennies on the dollar for a healthier/happier workforce. How might production improve if the employees arent sick as dogs and hating life?

I generally agree. I own a detailed road atlas for every state in the West and always have the appropriate ones with me whenever im in a particular State.

In order to maximize ease of transaction if i end up buying a new car in 2022 i might see if hte dealer will take my 14 year old Outback for X amount of money vs privately selling it. Even in this crazy market not sure i could get a whole lot for a 2008 base Outback.

Yes, this is exactly it. Rollovers are a very dangerous type of crash/accident and SUVs are particularly vulnerable to them. SUVs suck as commuters and i would know as i own one.

You are very dumb.

jesus..This is absolutely a wild and totally infuriating series of events. :( You have my sympathies and i hope things get better.

My 14 year Outback is a much better car than that 2018 or whatever it was Expedition.

Hes young, the world is ending, he can spend some money. He can easily max out his 401k and still be pulling in ~2200/check on a 26 check/year cycle.

If hes just out of school and moving to Seattle for work hes working at a big tech firm and making 120k or so plus some options.

The shittiest rental car ive ever had was a late model Ford Expedition. What an utter pos. My Outback was much better handling snow/rain/mud than the Expedition. Maybe it was just shitty tires..not sure but it inspired dread and not confidence when i spent a few days on the Olympic peninsula w/it.

1st gear’ish: Yesterday i had to take my Outback in for some maintenance and my Subee dealer had 2 new Subaru’s for sale on the whole damn lot. They received 2 trucks worth of vehicles the day before but they were all pre-sold.

This story never happened but good try.

This seems like a good idea and i guess im surprised no one else has done this to my knowledge?

Yes, well said. I agree.

Yes, the MPGs very much suck. Wait till you tow with it! We get 10-11 mpg when towing our little teardrop trailer.

wow, crazy. I have 60k miles on mine.

You are correct. Well said.

If you can find a new vehicle that wont, in turn, be outrageously priced i think you have a good shot at making this work. I plan on keeping my pro-4x for probably ever and eventually ill replace my 14 year old Outback with something very fuel efficient/EV.

Im an off road guy only in the way that it helps me get to trailheads to hike/run/camp. I dont rock crawl really at all and do 4x4 never for the sake of it. I dont love it honestly..but having a capable 4x4 is hte only way i can get to some of these places w/o running in (which i sometimes do).

The Renegades honestly do pretty well in the backcountry. Its not uncommon for me to see them down some decent 4x4 roads. Theyre not hardcore rock crawlers, obviously, but with some extra tire on them they really do a decent job of getting to/from some out of the way places.
