i mean there has absolutely been asset class inflation. Housing is a great example. Because of NIMBYs and single family zoning construction is mostly flat the last 20 years while the population has increased by many millions.

yup, very well put
2nd gear: some 2-4% inflation for a couple of years is good, actually. Specifically re: used car prices this is just old school supply/demand. Also, not mentioned i dont think is that repo’s are down which is curtailing a common source for used cars.
Agreed. I like the paint job on my 4x4 but if it ends up w/some scratches due to using it as intended i can certainly live w/it. I plan on driving this thing till it totally falls apart. Some scratches here or there are no big deal.
Can i ask a dumb question: Does the USA not have a rocket that can launch this thing?
lol, thats right. His bikes are worse than his car and that is saying something.
Neutral: with full understanding that expenses can prevent getting a simply reliable vehicle it amazes me that osme ppl, apparently, dont grow out of the “its charming and an adventure to regularly drive a pos that may or may not work!” on the regular.
The one thing that is guaranteed is that taxpayers will foot whatever bill comes down the pike.
The answer to this changes all the time but at this moment probably the Taycan Cross Turismo & honestly my dumb Xterra Pro-4x does everything i want and need in a 4x4. So, i guess id just keep that and swap out the Porsche for my old Subee as my DD.
ah, you precious petro-sexual. Yes, lets continue to wreck the planets ecosystem so you can snowflake your way to fairytales and lullabies that make you feel better about yourself.
What the flight attendants say goes. It’s really that simple. That dude who came over should have knocked that fucking passenger out.
Holy shit, that is amazing. Thanks for the link.
Wow, ive never seen that! Its like a Whale Shark and i think i love it.
I had a 92 Integra GSR and i miss it regularly and wish i had never sold it. But i was broke and needed some cash. I think that car would still hold up today.. So, you have good taste in having a GSR. :)
This is a really good point. My favorite coworker is like this. Hes an early 60s dude from a rural town but hes worked in tech for decades and lives in Denver and never does anything remotely truck-like. But every 3 years like clockwork he goes and buys a new F150.
fucking white ppl. Fucking things up on this continent for 500+ years.
He should buy an old honda of some sort. Honda manuals in the late 90s/early 2000's were the best/easiest ones ive ever driven.
I do, yes. My dumb xterra is 17mpg normally and about 12 or 13 when towing my trailer but i mainly use that thing for getting into the back country and towing. I probably drive the xterra no more than 10k miles a year.
has anyone posted the nerds defending elon pic from the Simpsons yet?
sorta looks like a fancy accord/civic mashup here. However, i look forward to seeing these in the flesh.
