Agreed, my full size SUV can only tow 5k for example. My 4x4 can get to places that this little truck couldnt but for the vast majority of use cases i think this new truck offers up a pretty good argument for itself.

I think the Subaru Baja comparison is certainly valid and the most recent Baja definitely failed but one huge thing thats changed since that car ended production ~15 years ago? is the market for all things outdoorsy has exploded.

eh, im a native of colorado and regularly will spend a week camping in the desert and/or mountains and this is fine. Lots and lots of ppl are living hte outdoorsy life in a crosstrek and this will do anything a crosstrek can do but with a bigger motor.

Ok, sure, I can see that to a degree. Attach to the roof then.

lol, sure buddy, sure. Everyone w/a superduty is using it to the limit. Got it.

You might be right! Im sure i will see it soon enough as i see every possible MTB permutation where i live.

same!!!! I cant stop..its such an earworm.

Yeah, so maybe 2 in the bed, 2 on the roof, and could hitch on even more. Still, plenty of room. I see dudes here every weekend living the MTB life out of Crosstreks so this Hyundai will work just fine.

Thank you for the kind words! I live in ground zero for giant, lifted trucks that are just daily driven to the insurance office or some shit. Its a joke.

David, youve clearly never hung out with a MTB crowd. That is exactly how ppl transport their MTBs. That is a feature, not a bug.

there will be things for hte bed that i am sure you can attach ski’s to. Just look at every overland bro in a tacoma with like 14 rotopax attached and god knows what else to a frame in the bed of hte truck.

this is literally true :)

Agree all around. The optional bigger engine tows more than enough for most ppl and the bed could be useful. I mean not for ppl who populate this forum and seem to move plywood and build homes from scratch every weekend but for normal ppl itll be handy to dump some shit into and drive off.

Yeah, i feel that pain totally. I just want to get to some trailheads to go hiking/camp and its getting rough, literally, out here in CO and UT.

exactly.

Ah, well since its not an issue to you i guess its not a issue.

This is trying to be clever but really ignores the reality of what a bunch of ppl can do to roads when they go all over the place where they shouldnt. Which they do/will.

My most luxurious vehicle is a 2015 xterra so i have never had the pleasure of driving a car with heated steering wheel or cooled seats but i will take your word on it.

100% true. Ppl daily drive as commuters lifted superduty dually trucks around here. Just fucking amazing.

cotd, sadly
