I bought this exact car (in red) used in 1989. It was the single biggest POS i have ever owned and it was so bad that i have flatly refused to own another car from the Big 3 ever since.

shes not wrong though. You can rail against all you like but your bias is as one of the few ppl wringing the most out of their 4x4s all the time. You and the ppl you know who do that are a tiny, tiny percent of truck buyers.

Native of CO - this is true. Although i have seen some Subees get way the hell back up in the mountains. There are ppl who are far crazier and more skilled at driving than me..Id never take my Outback to some of these spots.

Depends on the use case! For you or for me, not yet. For 10s of millions of people out there who just drive to work and the mall an EV is absolutely ready for prime time.

1000 miles as it seems per the ppl at this site that everyone has a 999 mile daily commute. 

Its a big problem for you and your needs are in the what percentile? 95th? 98th? I dont know.. Im doing similar things as you and live in the middle of nowhere myself. An EV would be just fine as a DD for me.

Sure, MR2s and S2000s are probably my favorite cars ive ever driven. I daily a 2008 Subaru so youre right that slow car slow is indeed not that much fun.
