Yeah, obviously im not forced to buy it but im still entitled to my opinion.

correct. Its monopoly --> then profit. Not exactly efficient market hypothesis when the VC money is the one choosing winners and losers.

What came first? Profit or monopoly and monopsony? I mean this isnt hard my man.

if you think making money is a core concept of the economy let me introduce to the first 20 years of Amazon or Uber forever or any number of other highly capitalized ventures that make no money for many years.

clever!

btw, ICE cars are and have been subsidized for a century by explicit and implicit govt subsidies all along.

Its a hell of a better vehicle than this dumb pos, yes.

Ive always loved these and teh whole RS line generally but 5000 pounds? Lol, what a porker. This thing weighs 500lbs more than my bof SUV. Its jumped the shark or more likely landed on the shark and crushed it under its 2.5 tons of weight.

Truly one of the stupidest fucking cars out there today and thats saying something.

Yeah, you are obviously correct here. I hope your wrong and that this thing sells well but we will see i guess.

eh, you know as well as anyone else that people buy vehicles for many reasons and practicality is only one of them. I regularly see HD or SD trucks with longbeds that are just commuters and do nothing more than carrying a bag or of mulch in an 8ft bed.

I live in a bastion of petro-masculinity where there are more Raptors and Rubicon’s than Camry’s and Accord’s and even here there are two Taycan’s.

5th gear - and this is in a country with kickass public transit! Imagine the carnage that we will see in this dumb country?

i hear what youre saying but honestly 5k is out of reach for a great deal of folks in this country w/o financing. Metric has a lyric that goes like this:

You are not a smart person. Climate change is real. Cars have all sorts of massive negative externalities whether EV or ICE. If we are to move forward in any sane way (we wont) there has to be a massive reduction of vehicles on the road, period.

I mean this is a good faith effort and its fine and all but the actual answer here, long term, will be a drastic reduction in total number of cars of any and all types.

I like those cars! I hope you get another chance at one. I feel your pain..sometimes i am too conservative with money and wish i would really get something fun again. Maybe Subaru will release a hatchback WRX...

Yes, well said - i agree. Mental barrier..For a car like that id rather wait a couple of years and buy a low mileage used example of whatever that might be.

I hear ya..im upper middle class or directly adjacent to it and ive never even spent 30k on a vehicle and only 20k once. Im looking at a 15k Honda Fit for my new DD right now. 40k seems insane and i can afford it!

The answer is “no”. Wearables do an excellent job of distance/pass/altitude and thats great but the calorie stuff is wildly inaccurate.
