Canned stuff varies. If you're going to do that, get the College Inn. The Swanson stuff isn't as good. Personally I use a good base and add water, but I also work for a company that makes all this stuff commercially.

Personally I replace the white pepper with fine ground black pepper and add the MSG to taste. White pepper is just nasty.
