Not sure why writers keep making Fire Emblem comparisons when it’s clearly an FF Tactics/Tactics Ogre homage. Job system, isometric POV, altitude variance, impenetrable medieval dialogue? I guess because FE is more well known these days?

Octopath Traveler was a working title as well. Like its predecessor, this is gonna be a game with a dumb name and a lame plot that I’m gonna spend hundreds of hours on because of the mechanics and presentation.

It’s much less FE than it is FFT or Tactics Ogre, both of which I recommend to you wholeheartedly if you like the look of this!

I’ve always been a fan of FF Tactics, and Shining Force I and II before that. So definitely intrigued by this.

Yes FFTA was terrible. If you wanted that kinda game on the Gameboy Advance Tactics Ogre: Knights of Lodis was the way to go. I wish they’d re-release that game as it desperately needs a fast forward button.
