Now explain why masks failed in China, Japan and South Korea. 80% of people in China are estimated to have been infected in just the last few months since zero-COVID was abandoned. Chinese people were wearing masks. Why did almost everyone get it anyway?

The upshot is it doesn’t matter. If you want to do your morning run without eating then go ahead. If you need to eat first, do that.  Fueling for/during exercise doesn’t really matter unless you’re racing or going long (an hour or more).

I’d have thought that their continued brutality towards the Palestinians living under their occupation, who are subject to Israeli laws but not given any representation in government would have dispelled any notion of “Israeli democracy” decades ago.
