No, they were willing to take a bet against hedge fund managers that had over-shorted a stock. And they knew if enough redditors joined in and held the line, those hedge funds would be paying all of them a ton of money. The uber-rich fundies who constantly manipulate the stock market for their personal gain got a

The stock market produces nothing, though. It’s a zero-sum game (in order for you to earn a buck, someone else must spend a buck), and brokers and investors are merely leeches hanging off the teats of society, sucking off value for themselves while contributing nothing in return.

With enough small traders rallied to its cause, WallStreetBets can create its own stock market reality, at least for a little while

Naw. That subreddit’s been around for a long time doing it’s very Kramer-esque thing. I’m pretty sure there are as many misses as hits in there.

Like a dumbass (or so I thought a few years ago), I bought 100 shares of Gamestop in 2014 in a IRA account that I had from a previous job’s 401K rollover. I also bought other things (including Apple, and an S&P 500 Index fund) that have done well over the years. Being an avid gamer I should have known that Gamestop’s

I am very skeptical. I have a lot of years riding motorcycles, and almost as many in custom metal fabrication. This looks more like a college kid’s industrial design project than something really well thought out from a manufacturing point of view. Grandia’s battle system is so excellent that it floated the series through an obtusely awkward sequel (Xtreme) and a straight up bad sequel (Grandia 3).

Grandia 2 is still a great JRPG. Deserves a spot on the list.
