Okay, I’ll give it whirl =D:

Let the gaslighting begin.

It’s exhausting really.  In the zeal to run interference for Sanders; they are gaslighting us about sexism.

Let me save the inevitable trolls some time (trolls are like death and taxes)

Look, we get it, a crotchety old man will be elected president in 2020. We just don’t know which one yet.

Imo, for Warren, politics is personal; informed by her life experiences; including losing her job for becoming pregnant. Being a single mother, etc..

Sanders supporters have been attacking Warren from day one. Calling her Hillary 2.0; making up shit about her.  Basically fake news from the left.

Do I think this has become a media-driven distraction meant to pit extremely online Sanders and Warren supporters against one another, even as they want largely the same things, and only serves to fracture the coalition necessary to nominate a progressive candidate? Yuuuuuuuuuuup.

I read that article in Jacobin and my god their bunker mentality is showing it’s pathetic worrying and amusing all at the same time

Nah...not having it with Bernie love on here today. I’m actually somewhat surprised at myself for being so vitriolic against him today, but these two instances are right in line with not only 2016 and Hillary, but what his staffers and aides have been doing to Warren this cycle. I’m not talking about writing it off as

YES! Reminds me of a point made in offshoot convo in a Bloomberg thread here on jez this week. Where I was surprised Bloomberg was showing second best to beat Trump in Michigan...Biden, Bloomberg, Sanders then Warren.. Basically, if I had to pick a candidate that represented the so-called elites, it would be

Alllll of this is true. So true.

Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I feel that either the centrist leaning media or more right leaning campaigns are trying to play on the left’s propensity for cannibalizing itself in order to help centrist candidates. Who does it help if Sanders stans feel mischaracterized and Warren stans feel attacked?

Is it just me, or would a Warren/Sanders ticket be fire? Can we please have that?

So people bring up how Warren used to be a conservative like it’s a bad thing, but I can’t say I believe it is. If I wanted to convert people to a belief, the person I’d want out there as a missionary is not someone born into the faith but a converter themselves. There are people out there, and regardless of what

What you’ve just described is why I think Warren would be far more effective as POTUS than Sanders. I’m not concerned with their purity credentials, I am concerned with who can win and who would do a better job.

Honestly, the problem with that “script”—if that’s what we’re calling it—isn’t that it “slams” Warren. Without any additional context attempting to paint her as corrupt, it’s not particularly damning of her at all.

If the script is what going negative looks like,

I, for one, would love for the future of the Democratic Party to be resolved by a minor tiff between two septuagenarians, one of whom was a Republican during the Clinton years and the other who is only a Democrat when he wants to run for President.

When people suggest this kind of, uh, extremely basic campaigning — wherein you’re supposed to argue you’re a better candidate than your opponents? — is going negative, I have to assume they’re either completely new to politics or suffering from profound retrograde amnesia. Like Ashley suggested, 2008 makes every
