I haven’t drilled down into any of the data, but how many of the ‘don’t want to impeach’ or ‘undecided on impeachment’ are folks who like me have considered it something of a waste of time and distraction given its obviously futile nature? I haven’t been invested in impeachment, but I also wouldn’t punish the Dems for

Pretty much this. The Dems can suck donkey balls, but they’re the closest thing we have to an adult in the house.

It will also cost the Dems their majority in the House in the next election.

I’ll say I’ve only been so-so on impeachment (seems futile and too many chances to make unforced errors, despite the clear criminality of this administration) but I’ve been swayed towards it by the strong argument that there are definitely many more otherwise non-motivated voters — according to polls, groups like most

Well, heck, Andrew Yang, for one. He’s currently being asked to publicly disavow his abusive alt-right supporters.

I defer to your experience —I knew many who thought he was a slimeball of a politician, but did people realize back then how mentally unhinged he is? Remember that NYY magazine cover of him right after 9/11 called The Mayor of America or some such horseshit?

Leading me to ask, if they really distrust the leadership that deeply, why are they members of the organization in the first place?

I remember talking with the early union organizers as an adjunct at my college in the early 2000s, and I suspect you speak the truth. Yet I wonder if it would have been this explicitly aimed at academia under a less overtly anti-intellectual republican admin?

I mean, if your evidence is Baracka you’ve already fucked up.

As someone who worked on the Ranked Choice Voting campaign in Maine, I think you are likely correct. Some folks in the WFP-Sanders camp are adopting the ‘ranked choice is unfairrrrrrr” line that’s usually been more typical of right-wingers. Just a bit of cognitive dissonance that makes me, personally, moot that they

Unchecked climate change will kill many millions of people and animals. You’d rather they do vague interpretive dance?

Die Unaufrichtigen Schwachköpfe does have a certain ring to it.

Yeah, but they’re the weird gothic kid in art class who’s older than the others and has seen this before and know where it leads.

I’m suggesting the people asking for it are not asking in good faith. I mean, look at this horseshit:

Ah yes, it’s autumn again, time for Germans to have “Pow-Wows” and get decked out in redface. *sigh*
