I think you’re being wildly optimistic about how many internal combustion engined vehicles are still going to be on the road by 2030.

Long-COVID related brain fog

If someone who was not a police officer engaged in this exact behavior they would be going to jail right now for decades. Can someone explain to me like I’m 5 years old why this officer is not going to jail?

Ok, so here’s my question about my admittedly specific and unusual use case: my uncle has a lake house in the middle of absolutely nowhere in Pennsylvania, that he lets me use with my wife and two toddlers whenever we want. In order to get there, you drive for a while on normal roads, but once you get to the lake you

I was one of the very first people to get an S550 Mustang, 2015 Mustang GT I picked up in December 2014. I have put 90k miles on it in 8 years and the only non-wear items I’ve needed to have fixed were a broken hood latch (under warranty), a recall for the backup camera, and a throttle body cleaning because I daily

As a longtime Mustang owner and aficianado the new interior looks absolutely terrible.

As a Mustang guy, that interior is... bland. The current gen interior has some hard plastics on the transmission tunnel I wish weren’t there, but it’s stylish and distinctive and clearly a Mustang. This could be the interior of a Hyundai Sonata. Absolutely do not like. Nothing about this car is making me want to run

Yeah but that has nothing to do with internal combustion engined vehicles. Plenty of natural gas fired power plants. And deisel fuel will likely be readily available, since there are a lot of applications for deisel engines that just can’t be easily replicated by electric batteries with current technology. I’m talking

I absolutely despise haggling. Either I can afford the car or I can’t. Every car I’ve ever bought, I either paid the asking price or I didn’t buy the car. I’m not at a rug market in Marrakesh; the price on the sticker is what it is. Did the same when buying my house.

The industry is trending towards electric vehicles; in seven or eight years electric vehicles will be dominant in the consumer market. Already, petroleum companies are planning to start phasing out gasoline refining capacity, because within the next 2 or 3 years we’re going to reach a peak of gasoline demand and then

Good luck finding a gas station 15 years from now.

This may or may not be a real issue. I street-parked my Mustang in Brooklyn for 5 years; it got backed into during parallel parking enough times that the front bumper is slightly out of line with the front fender, a fraction of an inch, but unless you care about the car being a show car it doesn’t actually matter in

Everybody heard they were getting a free G6 and assumed it was a private jet.

Is there any possible way that this game won’t be disappointing? I’m not holding my breath.

I really wanted to give this a Nice Price, but... not with those engine mods. I can deal with cosmetic mods on a car like this, but engine mods on an already finicky drive train are... can't do it.

I change oil about every 6,000 miles (scheduled is 10,000) and have never had to add oil in between any oil changes.

“I had $3,000 in cash in my $200k car” <- guy who’s trying to engage in a very esoteric form of money laundering.

The 2017+ refreshed GT Mustangs -- the 460 hp ones -- added direct injection, which has caused some mechanical complaints that weren’t there in the earlier port-injected 435 hp engines, hence the comment.

Nobody is going to be buying internal combustion engine cars ten years from now. What exactly do dealerships think their future looks like?

Have you seen the video on this? My initial reaction to the speed was “way over 100 mph” and when the police said 90 mph I flat-out did not believe them. 130 mph is totally consistent with what you see in the video.
